Foden was great when he switched to the right.

But for the full 95 mins I give it to Bernardo. He’s really putting a shift in these days.

Stones and Rodri were excellent also.
Gundo should have been freed further forward a lot earlier in my book as he has a nose for goals. He was poor first half though.
Sterling was poor first half but a big plus with him these days is he doesn’t hang his head he keeps plugging away. He was instrumental in so much good stuff second half.

I thought we had shot ourselves in the foot but Peo in fairness kept his nerve and Klopp’s lot lost theirs first.

Due to work I didn't concentrate fully on the game yet at 1-0 I was going to nominate Ruben Dias. Allowing for his so-called "mistake" - Salah exaggerated the fall - he's the steel that wins and titles are built upon and so he's my Man of the Match.

Picking Dias today shows as much lol

Do I go for the superstar developing before our eyes in Phil. Gundog who apart from the penalty was excellent. Rodri who had a quietly effective game and Stones and Ederson who were good and Dias who apart from the obvious was solid again but going for the unsung hero for me today Zinchenko. Got beat once in the 1st half but was brilliant after that

I would actually have picked Dias again today until his minor brain fast - the guy is just immense, and we look so much more solid. Real contender for PoTY in the Premier League for me - no doubt Bruno "won fuck all" will win it though.

Anyway it's Phil for me today - what a player he is, and how much better will he become!!

I thought Rodri played really well today. Bernardo & Gundogan great too 2nd half. But have to go with Foden.

My thoughts exactly.

Dave was easily our best player in the first half,

I gave it to Phil for his contribution to the match-winning performance in the second period.

Oleks was also very impressive.

Went for Phil but zinch was seriously good today, Salah did nothing out there, very assured once again

Sterling was really good, Bernie matched his performance from a couple of years ago, Rodri worked hard in the middle despite some people understandably fancying Fernandinho, Gundo scored two, but Foden...bloody hell.

Also, I try not to bring feuds from the matchday thread onto the main forum, but some people's running commentary on Sterling need to take a good fucking look at themselves, discraceful stuff.

Rodri, Stones, Bernie, Gundog, Sterling all terrific from front to back.

But I’ve picked Zinchenko, so often unheralded he was absolutely immaculate today. Defensively solid but the way he was always available in possession and building attacks was huge, such a clever player and continues to prove a lot of people wrong.

I actually gave it Bernardo, found myself shouting well done bernardo more than any other player on the pitch by far that was on a par to his monumental performance a few seasons back, he was everywhere, he was the one that constantly got us out when they pressed and looked like they could perhaps force us into turning it over, he broke the lines well, covered every single player at some point and was a constant menace topped off with a magical chip for the third that's getting overlooked because of Alissons clown impression.

Could easily make a case for foden sterling gundogan rodri stones cancelo or zinchenko.

I think Pep will try Foden as the false 9 again in order to help develop as a more rounded player, he needs to work on it, he is great everywhere else he has played.
