Fernandinho. he the real engines in this team. he cover brilliantly for Yaya role.
great link up between defensive and offensive. without him, KDB and Aguero will be isolated.
a goal and assist to his name. he scored lot of important goals for us this season.

about Ibra goal, both Hart and Fernando are to blame.
unnecessary pass, wrong choice, bad decision, failed to asses the danger, poor concentration, lack of intelligent, and so on.

Ultimately it was Pellegrini's fault. As a goalie you should never pass upfield to a player facing his own goal. Watch Barca, they always play it from the back, the ball always goes to a player at the side as he can see what's in front of him. It's a fundamental, basic error and I am gobsmacked that professional footballers would make it.

I have done this. Stay behind the player receiving the ball and the goalie can't see you and the player with his back turned doesn't know you are there and you nip in and get the ball. If it's played to the side it can't happen.

This should have been drilled. A mention during a training session and it would never happen.

It was out of Mangala and KDB for me. Had to opt for KDB due to the attack being decisive in the away leg. Very pleased Mangala is putting in the performances I've told many that he's capable of. Hope he continues putting in performances like last night.

Nevermind Fernando's 10 votes (the poor sod would have been a definite contender wasn't it for the shocking mistake...), I think Kolarov getting a vote takes it a bit too far. :)

Choice between Mangala and Fernando. After watching ITV highlights gone for Fernando.

decisive interceptions for both goals and unlucky with their equaliser. That was a fluke / bad decision from Hart as much as a Fernando error. He didn't know Ibra was there and must have been reassured he wasn't because Hart gave him the ball

Seriously, do you ever watch the game?

I don't care what anyone says, he's a wum or his cognitive functioning age isn't yet in double figures...
He certainly sees the game through different eyes than most. Maybe he's actually a footballing genius and we're too stupid to realise?

Or could be what you said..

Mangala easily our best player, always shines against a big centre forward. Fernando had a good game bar the most amateur mistake ever. Cant really fault anyone last night, if i was going to i'd say Otamendi needs to learn what his feet are for and get off his arse.

Mangala. A rock tonight. Well played.

'Tis difficult to pick a MotM considering the different aspects we expect a player to bring. One of The Mangler's best games. Not quite as good as his debut game, but he's getting there. Goal against The Baggies on Saturday (unless Fred Done gets back in the team!) and he's there.

However, last night was another show of why we bought KdB and what he brings to the team. Just great to watch. PSG were shitting themselves when he was on the ball.

I went for Fernando.

Watching the highlights hart was to blame for that. And fernando's pass hit Ibra. It was a fluke

Hart should know better - isn't that how he got injured. I remember a short pass back from Demichelis but didn't Hart play it too him in the first place?
