I hate to say it, but they aren't anywhere near as bad as they are being made out to be?

Their final third is certainly potent and that rat-faced whingeing fucker Fernandes is, sadly, a top player.

They have structural faults at the base of their midfield and right across their back four, certainly in terms of a technical capacity to bring the ball out.

United have a manager who sort of knows what they need but doesn't have the tactical acumen to get the best out of their formations.

They can cause damage at the top end, so we need to be precise in our possession, take no risks, and take our chances when they do come along.

I sense it could be a long Saturday night for either team.

I was staggered that he actually said that, but as sure as eggs are eggs , his opinion would be entirely different had it been against us.

Is Fernandes a " top player " or good player in their team ?

It appears that he was offered around a number of clubs in Europe before the rags bit .

He is such a whiney **** though and fits perfectly into their ethos and mindset of being the best thing since sliced bread.
 
Won't be an easy game that's for sure. It was Ole's naivety to play 5 defensive minded players to begin with and some comical defending from their part and RB taking their chances made the lead 3-0. But when Pogba came their attack actually improved and RB's goalkeeper made some real good saves. What I mean here is that we need to take our chances at this game because this is a team which can hurt us in counters.
Devoiding them of any possession and closing them quick remains the best way against this team as RB showed yesterday.
We would need B. Silva and Foden to press them and KDB to throw accurate passes at Mahrez and Sterling for the goals. Hoping for a Pep's mastermind act!

Angelino got so much space in the first half whch is crazy really when you think they played 5 at the back. We need to exploit that and it comes from unfortunately the likes of Rodri and Gudogan to move the ball forward quickly and press hard and break fast. If we play slowly like we have been and sideways from rodri and Gundo, could be a long painful night.

I fear the gundorgan, Rodri, mahrez triumvirate will be picked as per usual. If they are all rested tonight that would confirm my worst fears.
 
All this shit that they are a good team yet they need help from the ref every fucking game. High tempo and press from the first to the last minute. Dont give these clowns an inch. I want our forward players running at Johan Maguire at every opportunity.

I agree with that. When you compare man to man with us though, there are not many would get into a combined team. Fernándes maybe, after that I struggle. We also have a far better coach so it should be a win for us if it weren’t for their other advantages.

we are due a big performance against a top 6 side though.

Their defence is absolutely bobbins.
They'll try to do what Maureen did, but they will crumble.
The Maguire donkey and his useless mates will crack wide open.

He‘s shown he doesn’t need to be a genius to beat us in derby matches. They’ll be hurting after last night too. I don’t have a good feeling about this one.

Just hope I’m wrong as - to me - this is still one of the biggest occasions of each season.
 
All our players will need to be on it,and i'm confident that will be the case........but,for me,it will largely depend which Gundogan turns up.

Hopefully Aguero has also got himself in great shape while out,a warm up tonight will be ideal.
 
They are slow starters but finish games strong. We need to hit them hard from the get-go and take a good lead into the break.

If it's level pegging at the half, we will struggle.
 
The only danger is there counter attack. Weak as piss at the back so it's imperative that we take our chances. I've no doubt they will get a penalty at some point, they nearly always do! There home record is poor, let's make it worse!

The derby is always a bit special but to be honest I really only view it as 3 points now which I'm not at all sure we will get this time. It used to be like a cup final this game now its meh . That is probably old age creeping in allied to the fact that there are so many more important games now then was the case when old red nose was about.
 
I can see it coming, how many penalties will they get, one, two?? They will steal the game by some woeful officiating again and it will be classed by the media as ‘they were more up for it‘ than calling it out for what it is. Hate derby but this year probably more than most. They have to be kept relevant and it will happen.
