we have been dominating and pep has reverted to the set up/selection that saw us struggle at the start of the season....rodri and gundogan have been exellent in the run of games BUT they have had foden and Bernardo ahead of them pressing and making space.....mahrez doenst press as well and KDB's game is not the same as Foden and and Bernie....

I think we will see an below par performance today ....Pep should have stuck with what we had been doing imho

Not my prefered team but good enough to twat them lot.

Think not playing bernardo is wrong, the lad is always up for a derby

I'm sure that is the same frontline United played against us in the league when they beat us last season, keeping James and Martial high and wide?

Surprised not to see Walker pace included and always worried when Bernie and Foden legs aren't starting.

It's quite a methodical line up, slow build up and keeping it tight?

The lack of Foden and Bernado, is in keeping with his comments about Foden having to play at a slower tempo. Whereas the rest of us know nowts are crying out for the team to play at a faster one :/

So De Bruyne is back so Bernardo’s season is now over I suppose. Shame we won’t be playing the same as we have been over the past 20 matches.

Sorry. Got to say that I cant for the life of me understand why anyone would ever write comments like "Pep will never learn", or "Pep has no clue" or similar. Baffling.
Agree, thats wrong, but its equally baffling why he chooses to leave two of his best players on the bench when the 3 points will all but make us Champions.

This might be a long game until the 60 min mark. Pep’s choices suggest a controlled approach needed. Let’s hope he is right.

Over fucking thought and changing how we play again, always works out well, let them worry about us ffs

As you were told a few weeks back, it sends totally the wrong message to Bernardo who has seen a half fit team mate walk back in to the side

Bernardo's started 18 of the past 21 games, so I doubt anyone in the squad is concerned about "the message". You'd see him play every minute of every game but Pep is thinking about his fitness long term and the KO games later in the season. Last time he got run into the ground he went MIA for nearly 2 years, so I'd rather he got rested for a game here and there.

We beat United easily without him in the last derby (1 of the 3 he missed on this run) .

You also don't know how KDB has trained in the last week or how quickly he's returned to fitness.
