I've not looked at previous seasons, but have a feeling this could be a record season for management upheaval. Thought it might be interesting to try and track the top 4 divisions.

First casualty:

12 Aug - Preston North End (games played 1)
 
Rooney's role is to increase interest in the club and attract support from the many thousands of deranged rag Muppets living in Devon and Cornwall.
100% this. It seems like their owners couldn't care less about the team itself, they just want to make enough money for it to have been profitable and then they'll be on their way to some other long-suffering club somewhere. But truth be told it's always been that way. Investors will always want a healthy return on their money.
 
Blackpool sacked their manager.

Preston - Paul Heckingbottom in.
 
Neil Warnock is the obvious name for Plymouth although he’s part time advisory at Torquay now.
