Managers getting a cut of transfer fees

so basically a mangager of any top side could take any old duffer , even his own son if he wished, play him in a very strong side against poor teams and overhype his performance in the press and then sell him on to some unsuspecting mug or one of your network of similar minded managers and nobody would know . hmmmmmmm that cannot be right .

Hmmmm, wish I could think of a club that does that on a regular basis.

And a mug of a manager with a face like a squashed tomato who'd believe the hype and buy them :p

I agree with it. Put yourself in their shoes. You get a player either on the cheap or for free, your qualities as a manager improve him to a position where you make your club a healthy profit. Why shouldn't you get a cut off that fee? The club hasn't improved him, the manager has, he should be rewarded.

I only agree it should be for players that a manager has brought in, players coming through the youth system shouldn't.

So every time the manager buys a dud should he pay the chairman 10% of the transfer fee? Improving players and building a team are his job. A managers 'commission' should only come from getting results and achieving success with the team, not individual players.
This. What if a manager signs a player and he is poor.
