Just got home after a really good race. Finished in 55 mins, not bad really considering I didnt get much training in. I really want to get stuck in next year and get a sub 50, not sure but Im going to try.

The race is growing each year and Im always amazed how well organised it is. Really positive day and I raised a few quid for the Stroke Association so Im pleased about that.

Saw a few blues on the course and had a good laugh with one near O.T. when we say a big banner on an old building saying 'Starve Glazer out, dont renew'!

All in all a very enjoyable day.

hey, i did the 10k in 58 minutes.
quite happy with that because this is my first long distance run.
feet are ruined

-- Sun May 16, 2010 4:30 pm --

sorry
finnish time was:00:57:17
5k time was:00:28:13

my friend did the run today. she posted a time of 1.21.

I knocked 90 seconds off my previous best to go round in 43.22 and my Mum did 58.24. I think this event is spectacularly well organised and is a credit to the city.

63 minutes.

Took it far too easy.

Great day though.

Bit of advice: Do not go to Nandos and eat a double fillet burger with extra hot sauce after running 10K

:-/

I was more than happy with my 52:31 time. I didn't really train, and every year I get better and better. That's including a minute stop at Old Trafford to have my traditional urination stop! I was wearing a Mancini scarf if anyone saw me.

Great day again. I've run it since it started 8 years ago, and it gets better and better.

I did it in 62 mins 10 secs that included a stop for a piss so im pretty pleased it was my first run and I didnt train atall.

I reckon I could have gone a bit faster my first 5k took me 36mins and my 2nd 5k was 27mins!

Ive raised nearly £300 and had a top day, cant wait to do it again!
