Manchester Airport police assault trial | Man found guilty of assaulting two female police officers

Pity about that cop giving a real head kicking and stamping to the perp on film. I know that there was very serious previous violence used against the 2 WPCs and it all kicked off in a very short time. Further retribution of that sort should have been made in the back of the police van or in the cells afterwards with no incriminating evidence. As matters stand the crims will probably not get the full maximum sentence they deserved. Also it 's amazing that of the assailant's close family members no fewer than 6 were present or past members of Greater Manchester Police.

When or if they go to prison will they be respected for beating up a cop, or stabbed because they beat up women, and are dickheads.
This idea that prisoners frown upon fellow inmates who have been violent towards women, is probably consigned to the 60s or 70s, if it ever existed at all.

Nobody gives a fuck.

You're forgetting the trouble they caused in other areas of the airport, and allegedly on the plane.

I know a lot of rogues and believe me most are half decent, not everyone is in prison for being a violent woman beating ****.

Get them into a prison population that don't think like them and go from there.

Your lovable old fashioned rogue might still exist. But they’re a tiny minority of the prison population these days.

Far and away the vast majority of the prison population are young knobheads on short sentences, who don’t give a fuck about anything other than who’s selling the cheapest gear.

Okay. I seem to remember comments about them being on an incoming flight.
From the BBC
The brothers had travelled to Terminal Two with their young nephew to collect their mother, who was arriving on a flight from Qatar.
It was at this time that their mother claimed she had been racially abused by a passenger, who was later identified as Abdulkareem Ismaeil.
She pointed out Mr Ismaeil, who was in Starbucks with his family, to her sons as they were walking through the terminal at about 20:20 BST.
Amaaz confronted Mr Ismaeil before headbutting him and throwing punches as his family tried to intervene.

They sound like scousers, throw away the key.

A sentencing opinion from Daniel ShenSmith, a Master 7th Degree Black Belt and Barrister of England and Wales.

I don't really want to get embroiled in this discussion, but I want to add a 'pushback' comment to want the 'Black Belt Barrister' said about the "ridiculousness" of the fear of being killed by (unidentified) police in public...

Jean Charles da Silva de Menezes who was not even a national.

Okay, carry on.

Sorry but that was twenty years ago in a very unique situation where the country and the capital was on high alert. Almost a one off situation that is so far removed from what happened at the airport.

Those officer s were working long long hours and under an immense amount of pressure and fucked up royally.

This sort of incident didn’t happen, to the best of my knowledge, when I was first travelling through Ringway, circa 1980.
How we’ve moved on as a country.
have i made this up in my own head,
or could you go and simply watch the planes take off and land, for free somehow?
possibly up on top of the terminal itself.
just turn up with sarnies and binoculars, no bag searches.
i'm meaning mid-late 70's.

No it’s true.
Went as a kid in the early 70s.
Can still do it in the Airport pub beer garden.
