Manchester City achieve historic Treble (quadruple).

Don't call it a comeback! We were Champions, we played like Champions and we're still the Champions! Home to Man U, Agüero's killer 1-2 with Mahrez and sniper shot above the keeper. Was not a very merry Christmas for us Blues, found ourselves 7 points behind, but we know they don't give out any prizes then. Clawed it all the way back. Home to Liverpool, maybe most important game of the season, Bernardo driving with the ball creating the opportunity all by himself, and Sergio controlling and spinning and smashing into the roof of the net. Then Sterling's sprint through the middle and Leroy's brilliant winner off the post. Can't forget Stonesy's clearance with 11mm to spare. 6-0 against Chelsea, not many better ways to get revenge for an away defeat against the run of play than to destroy them at home; Kun's screamer my fav of that game. Against the same opponent Raheem's top bins winning penalty for our first trophy of the season. But if there's one moment to remember this year it's probably against Leicester: on 70 mins Captain Marvel with the marvellous, quite ridiculous goal of the season and pretty much title decider. The last league game of the season, going behind but just like the old days at the beginning of our recent success, all the way through it and hopefully for a good while yet, Silva to Agüero to get us back in the hunt for our crown. Not forgetting Laporte and Gündoğan's but Mahrez' finish and skills to pay the bills is the other one that'll stick out for me. All those 1-0s, winning 14 games in a row to end the season, Sergio's goal by 29.5mm at Burnley, nervous as hell for us fans but the team at times just looked to be in complete control. I've felt very impressed with our defence this year but to outscore Pellegrini's first season (all comps 156 Manuel, 169 Pep) and become the first team in England to win 50 games in a season is even more fantastic to me. I've never seen another team get so much fortune, keepers virtually throwing it into their own nets, quite disgusting non-penalties and offside goals; whether it was bad luck or something worse, the fact that we have triumphed over all that adversity is what makes this even sweeter. Can't imagine anything surpassing the Agüero moment, 2014 always special for me, but last year and this season have equalled 2012 as it's like something out of my wildest dreams. The Community Shield showed we were back from the start; personally so happy to exorcise those demons and win the FA Cup again with some seriously sexy football; goal fests and winning the shoot-out in the League Cup final and to top it all off a battling beautiful retention of the Premier League to win the unprecedented domestic quadruple. Thank you Sheikh Mansour, Pep Guardiola, all the players and everybody involved in this wonderful year for Manchester City. Gorgeousness and gorgeousity!!!

You are right about the Community Shield. Some may mock it as a friendly but I went and enjoyed it hugely. We treated the game as if it was any Cup Final and played with real intensity. I spoke to some Chelsea fans afterwards and they were concerned by what they saw. It laid down a marker for the whole season. I think the Liverpool match this year will be anything but a friendly. As Pep always says: "We are here to win." Long may this attitude last.

What do you all make of the club pushing this "fourmidables" tag?

It's pissing me off to be honest it feels really cringey for me. We won a treble in my eyes, it's the kind of thing the rags would do claiming a quadruple and including the charity shield.
After all we have achieved since 2015 and that's all you have come up with?

Congrats on your Quadruple. Whether this City team is the best ever is an interesting debate; but there's no doubt in my mind that combining this season's trophy haul, with the 100 point season, makes this the finest achievement in English football history ( the only thing that could top it would be either to win all 4 trophies plus a Champions League, or else to win all 4 without losing a single game).

Most of all, as an Evertonian, can I thank you for preventing that shower from winning the title. They really are a bunch of gobsh*tes, and we'd never have heard an end to it if they'd clinched a Premier League title. As it is, they bring out a commemorative flag every time they win a corner, can you imagine the stuff they'd do if they won the title. No doubt the Community Shield would have been scrapped and replaced with a game against the 1990 team of Grobellar, Hansen, Rush etc labelled a Clash of the Champions. So from the very bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thought it was a very clever use of language. You seem afraid to promote the feat. Why? I’m sure every other club would be ramming such an achievement down our throats big time. Indeed, rags still celebrating their 20 year old treble - as are the red tinted media

Thanks mate. Today I was working in Runcorn and came across an office full of Liverpool supporters (I was diplomatic!) and one Evertonian (who was absent). They really could not understand why he was more concerned with city stopping the Koppites than his own team winning. I just listened but I knew exactly where he was coming from. Ask any old enough city (or United) supporter about Leeds in 1992 and Aston Villa in 1993.

As a side note United used to have a flag showing how many years we had gone without a trophy (it got to 34) someone should have one for them lot showing how many years since they won a title - 30 years and counting!
