Ah well, looks like we will have to find someone else.

Manchester City Football Club aren’t optimistic over their chances of signing Edin Dzeko.

The Blues are set to enter the transfer market once more in the winter, when Roberto Mancini hopes to add a world-class striker to his ranks.

Wolfsburg ace Dzeko is said to be one of the Italian coach’s main wants, but Eastlands coach Attilio Lombardo believes the Bosnian will take up the interest from Juventus.

"We wanted Edin Dzeko, but we have already given up because it looks like he will end up in the black and white," said the former Bianconeri winger, a UEFA Champions League winner in 1996.

Notts County?!

I think Juve has a first option over Dzeko, a deal that was done this summer.

When Juve sold Diego they actually sold him for a pretty low price (just 15 millions where they brought him last season for 25) and there was a big rumor that Juventus actually sold him that low with an agreement that they had with Wolfsburg that they will reserve Dzeko for them next summer.

Thats just a rumor but it did come from a really credible sources.

We'll also sell them Sissoko in January for a reasonable price, Dzeko will join Juventus next summer. He won't leave Wolfsburg in January to anybody.

Forlan or Suarez then.

My money is on Torres.
Liverpool are sitting in religation zone and if we win tomorrow we are #2 in the league. Torres wants out, we want a striker and we have the money.

Long shot in January, something of that size? I'd love it to happen though.

If not, and it's pretty hard to shop at the top table (eh?) in Jaunary after all, then maybe we go after Mario Gomez..?
