i mentioned this in another post but with the chelsea win we seem to be all of a sudden being put in the bracket of contenders for the title?

ballck said as much all so some of the media have started to mention us within this and all so robbie seems to think we can fight for it,howard of the sun all so said today that we are top 3 contenders.

now i was just wondering does anybody think this is all hype or could we really put up a challenge with the squad we have?????

No because (for me at least) we are not resilient enough - when we start grinding results out like the rags and too a lesser extent Chelski then i will start believing - tomorrow is a god test a game we should win and a game we need to win and a game for last weeks result to mean anything we must win

don't know what God thinks he's playing at by testing us on tomorrow's game. With such a relatively new squad you'd think he'd at least give it a season. Talk about everybody jumping on the media bandwagon nowadays .

Add that we have no uefa cup this season which held us up in the league last season.

We were stronger in the second half of the season, quite significantly (some would argue thats because we were so shit in the first).

Stats will show that in general Hughes managed sides aren't significantly stronger in the second half than the first, of course if you spend a lot of money in January (like we did last season, but he didn't while he was at Blackburn) thats bound to help.
