Manchester City have been LUCKY and it cannot last says Arse

Are Jose and Wenger trying to influence refs against us by making such public statements...I am sure it will charge us even more...

Arsene Wenger has claimed Manchester City have got lucky in this season’s title race.

Wenger believes that the Blues' luck has to change and he even suggested people are getting carried away in their praise of Manuel Pellegrini’s title favourites.

“At the moment, they are on fire. But people are always tempted to go to definite conclusions after one game," he said. “Of course they had an impressive win, and a great quality game at Tottenham. But if you analyse it well, this game could have turned.

“All the turning points went in their favour. If they had not, you are not sure they would have won the game.

Talk for its own sake. It's not after ONE game, yer pillock. It's after half a season!! And I have yet to see one single football match that could not have turned! Each game where we had the benefit of correct, or in Wenger's parlance, 'lucky', decisions, we went on to win. Sophist as he is(!) he makes the simple error that those games would have taken a 180 degree turn and we would have got nowt.

It is designed to put officials under more pressure and deliver them onto the field in two or three minds, and when anything becomes decisive and marginal they play the easy card! It is the managerial equivalent of a player diving!

Funny he didn't say "Spurs can consider themselves EXTREMELY lucky that Dzeko's finishing was nothing like his usual standard, or they could have easily lost 10-1, not 5-1".

It was his usual standard

They're like that Chelsea poster on here that gobs off about decisions that go our way but refuses to acknowledge those that don't.

Good luck to us getting a decision on Monday though.

I'm so glad our manager doesn't talk about other teams in the petty, small time way Wenger and Mourinho do.
I've just started the thread so I bet this has already been said.

isn't it weird not to not to zee Ferguson's name anymore?

Thankfully we have a manager who concentrates on his job, and doesn't criticise others. Its called class Arsene.

They are both desperately trying to achieve a result for Chelski on Monday night.

Strange bedfellows, but they have at the moment a common goal. To try and get the ref's to bring us down using whatever means they have at their disposal.

Its a very poor reflection on the character of both of them.

Exactly.

The media are doing it too. Pretending like the decisions in the Tottenham game are controversial, open lobbying to see incorrect decisions get called against us.

Funny in the week when Jose Boringho criticised WHU for 19th century football here we are with managerial mind games. It is all so outdated now. Its what him Whinger and Whiskynose used to get up to all the time because they never had any class and had to employ underhand tactics to gain an advantage because they couldn't trust the team on the pitch to do the job against their closest rivals. Pundits are talking about us setting a new benchmark, about us defining a new standard. Remains to be seen but if so hopefully it will leave dinosaurs like them behind.
