He mainly wore 7 and 9.

It was only towards the end of his City career that he wore 10.

The best player the club has seen was Peter Doherty. I don't know what number he played but he was an inside-left so I'm giving him the No 10 shirt.

Do you think that Peter was better than The King? I am too young to remember Doherty and never saw Nijinsky live, but I know they were both great players.

In the time I can remember, Nelly Young is probably the greatest No. 10.

Joe Mercer said he was the best player he'd ever seen (as did Bill Shankley) and Joe had a certain number 8 in his side so I'll go with his judgement. Bell was the best I've seen.

If were going to mention famous No10's Tommy Hutchinson has to come into that category. What a quiz question to have about yourself the only player to score two goals in a Wembley final nobody else gets one and your side still doesn't lift the cup. Nobody blamed you Tommy.
