Even excluding his goal, where he ripped Vidic apart and stretched ahead of Carrick to score...hardly a scuffed shot....... his link up play, chasing back and overall contribution was superb. He has scored 35 goals in all competitions for BArca this year, with a record of 107 goals in 143 games for them. Now ok, he has Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc to provide for him but that is a superb strike rate.
Even excluding his goal, where he ripped Vidic apart and stretched ahead of Carrick to score...hardly a scuffed shot....... his link up play, chasing back and overall contribution was superb. He has scored 35 goals in all competitions for BArca this year, with a record of 107 goals in 143 games for them. Now ok, he has Messi, Iniesta, Xavi etc to provide for him but that is a superb strike rate.
Why will they be willing to sell him to us then. If their that willing to sell, why not go the whole hog and get Iniesta and Xavi. I for one hope we dont get him. But everyone to their opinion.

He has 1 yr left on his contract and this is the year to cash in on him. He's 28. If he gets another long term deal with them, they won't be able to sell him for as much as they can get for him now. Drogba is 31 and he is being talked about at City. Eto is 3 years younger and now that he has won 3 titles this season he may be looking for a new challenge. After all, what else is there for him to win? Nothing can top what they did this year anyway.
A new challenge awaits at City.

fair play to you mate,. like you say its all about opinions but for me he is one of the best strikers in the world. WE have consistenyl lacked someone to put the ball in the net, and he can definitely do that

I take it you haven't played much football. If you had then you would not be calling that a "scuffed shot". It was a deft and skillful shot. Perhaps a younger keeper would have saved it, nonetheless leading the Barca team with 29 goals speaks for itself.
