Last time around, we were struggling away and we had issues defensively (at the beginning of the season in particluar).

3:2 was the result, first goal we conceded from a defensive error, second was a free kick and third was a counter attack, as we were trying to win the game.

I don't feel as nervous as I felt vs. Everton and Crystal Palace, but I do feel nervous nonetheless.

1st Villa goal was off-side.
3rd goal was one of many stupid mistakes this season.

I'm more worried that Villa seems to get good results vs the tophalf teams.
The sole fact that we want and need it more must be the decisive factor. Than, when we are in control, our class will shine through.

If we don't win this we don't deserve to win the League, simple as.

Part of me fears that elements of our team will treat this like another Sunderland game where they think they won it before the game even kicked off and will fuck it up. I really hope we get 1-2 early goals to settle the nerves a bit and then don't stop and sit back but keep pressuring them.

No,I honestly don't think so. This won't be another Sunderland because we've already had. . . Sunderland. That was the wake-up call. And incidentally that point picked up against them looks rather different, doesn't it, in the light of what they've done to others recently.
I'm not calling the result, but I totally expect the players to be completely focussed, completely professional tonight. That is the absolute least we have a right to expect.
Incidentally, the more I think about the Sunderland game, the more I'm convinced that we left too much of ourselves on the pitch at Anfield. That to come back from 2-0 down and being overrrun to 2-2, virtually bossing them on their own 'impregnable' turf and to finally get nothing out of it was a deflation that the players couldn't get back up from in the intervening three days.

Sitting at Copenhagen Airport waiting for my connection flight to Manchester. Can't wait for the match tonight. Good feeling, really good feeling. 3-0 City

Have good flight, day and night fella..

Thanks mate. Always a special day to comer over for a home game. Mostly I do the London away matches cause it's much easier to get there from Germany. Hopefully the crowd will be rocking tonight.

Setting off at 10.30 from Cornwall, via Staffordshire to pick up my lad. First game I have been able to get to this season(as I'm a serving in the military).
Can't wait, it's gonna be a fcuking great atmosphere, especially if we stick a couple away early.
I'm expecting nothing but a solid professional performance tonight.

Here I am in the South of France (St Cyprien to be precise) its raining cats and dogs and I come on the forum and see so much negativity it beggars belief. There will be no slip ups, we will simply take Villa apart and we will score at least three goals.

For all of you going to the match I trust that you will be our twelfth man and let the team know just how much they are loved.

Don't buy into this that we're good away and a good counter attacking team. We haven't won away since New Years Day at Sunderland. Since then we've drawn at Cardiff and Liverpool. Lost at Newcastle, Man Utd, Palace, Swansea and Everton.

The 'Fat Lady Hasnt Sung Just Yet' pt 2.(part 1 is on page 51)

After finishing her coffee and croissants, she's having her hair done by top stylist chique phillippe lallique, but is shocked and saddened by the events unfolding regarding City and FFP in her morning newspaper..
How can she possible prepare for her last day concert with these distractions??

Pt 3 tomorrow !! :)

I'm a Villa fan, and, in reply to some of the stuff posted here:

- I can't stand Liverpool. I hope they never win the league again. Ever.

- I don't really give too much of a shit if you've bought the league. Money rules. There's no point getting upset about it. If it isn't you it'll just be someone even more objectionable, like Chelsea.

- VillaTalk is populated by uppity spastics. You're lucky you couldn't post there.

- There is some utter bollocks on here about Villa. To suggest our fans are any more bitter about you than anyone else is rubbish. Some of us even remember the "Good Luck Villa, From the City of Manchester" banner, but I suspect most of those rolling out the "bitter" line weren't around that far back.

re tomorrow

- Benteke isn't just out (I cant believe some of you are acting like this is a surprise, he can't stand up to go for a piss at the moment, let alone play, he's out till Christmas)

- we have a much better record against decent sides than we do shit ones. We beat you, obviously (although the first half was the most one sided 45 minutes I've ever seen), but we also took a point at Anfield, won at the Emirates, beat Chelsea at home and should have won at Stamford Bridge but for a ludicrous refereeing performance.

- we are a team which is affected massively by confidence. When we've got it, we are capable of playing very well indeed, way beyond our league position. When we don't have it, we are one of the worst teams in the league. Tomorrow we're safe, we've got nothing to play for, the pressure is totally off. My money is not on us winning or getting anything, but I am almost certain it will be one of our better displays, absolutely.

I genuinely dont understand why so many of you seem so bitter. We are currently financially entirely feeble. We are no threat to you, but there seems a fair old amount of bitterness.

Basically, it'll be an interesting game tomorrow, but, just like it was the fact that Liverpool weren't good enough to beat Palace which screwed them last night, if you can't beat us, then maybe you don't deserve to win the league.

We'll find out tomorrow.

I don't mind Villa one bit in fact I have a degree of empathy with Villa fans

As do I, although I rather doubt you would look too favourably on a blue referring to fellow Bluemooners as 'uppity spastics' on a Villa website.
Moot, we're City, we don't do uppity.
