Hey does anyone have a spare ticket? I just need one. I can only pick up from Sheffield.

Thx.

Haha, can't blame a man for trying

don't mind me, I'm just being my usual pre-match crabby self :)

Well stop being so shellfish, someone might seriously want a ticket !

1 spare ticket for Villa game tonight available - but must be picked up from Sheffield (£60 face value).

Cheers

I work in Sheffield but live in Sth Mcr. I will be leaving Hillsborough at around 4:30. If there is another way for someone to pay you but they cant get over the Pennines, I dont mind taking the ticket with me and meeting outside the ground as Im going anyway.
(just another option to avoid empty seats. dont know if it will help or not ?)

Hi mate I appreciate that, and I am actually based in Hillsborough too........

So does anyone want a ticket for tonight that can wire me the cash for and then meet Nixon_the_Bike_ THIEF [who sounds very trustworthy ;-] outside the ground?

(thanks again - my sentiment exactly re seats)

Tonight's score will be.

Manchester City 0 Aston Villa 2.

The wolf has spoken!

PM your personal details to a moderator and I'll do the same, and I'll have you a grand that Villa don't win tonight.
Or just forget to breathe out.
Either is fine with me.

Drop the hardman act mate.

You back from Giggy's wake then.

Villa's strength is on the counter attack. When they are allowed to play that way they are normally good, when they are given opportunities to control the game they are generally poor. That is why their record against sides at the top of the table is so much better than that against sides from the lower half. We need to be aware of their threat on the counter, we've slipped up to them already this season and can't do it again.

We played some good stuff against Everton, the neat interplay looks a lot better, Nasri was much improved and Milner was effective as ever. In the home games Milner often seems a different player, but with Dzeko's form I think we need to play him as the lone striker in a 4-1-4-1 with Garcia holding and Fernandinho, Yaya, Nasri and Milner supporting Dzeko. I would leave Silva on the bench and bring him on if needed, wouldn't risk aggravating an injury when we may need him to help us win the game on Sunday. Hoping for three points tonight to make things a bit more comfortable.

If Silva's fit enough for the bench, he's fit enough to start, because he doesn't need resting. We need him more than anyone for this game.

I will be hugely concerned without him. He's the most important player in the entire squad.

A note to all those pissed of with the ffp stuff !

Fuck it off for the rest of the day, don't let that shite distract from such an important match for us :)

Read crap in the cellar or post how much your cacking it about the match here, but don't let that crap get on your wick today ladies and gentlemen.

Come On City !

We could be playing a bunch of school boys and I wouldn't be confident... Were gonna lose :(

yes you boo him as well, you bitter fucking twats
That is not true. Milner is still liked by many of our supporters and gets an easier reception compared to the likes of Young and Barry. But lets be honest, we are hardly going to roll the red carpet out for former players on their return. They are the opposition now.

By the way, the bit in bold is really classy and is the furthest thing away from bitterness. Kudos.

like many other posters I used to like Villa and Villa fans, but your continual (and I mean EVERY game against us, at your place and our's) booing of Barry and Milner is pathetic, AND BITTER. Please do not try and change history, just because YOU may not do it, the majority of your lot do, and it is classless; pathetic and fucking classless.
As I mentioned a few pages back, there is a lot more to the booing of Gareth Barry than simply "Villa fans hating Man City because Barry joined them". I do not agree with your assertion about Milner. Jimmy was given a brilliant reception in his last game against West Ham, I think the majority of Villa supporters acknowledged that he was making a move to further his career, although you will always get a few who do not accept that line of reasoning and they are entitled to express a different opinion if they wish.

I am not "changing history" but giving a different interpretation of the events. I do not respect you labelling me, a Villa supporter, as "pathetic" "bitter" "classless" "fucking classless".

You seem to be very bitter and hateful yourself judging from your comments, I hope it does not spill over into your daily life. Try to produce a post without using profanity and generalisations, it will make you feel better. :)
