Manchester City v Everton 1969

Always like seeing that clip, the noise when we score is incredible. The sight of packed terraces reminds me how much the spectator experience has changed over the years.

As a side note, what a cracking pass by Lee to put Young through for the shot that led to the corner/goal.
Young smashes that ball with great power and i,m not even sure how West manages to save it, it must have nearly broke his shoulder in deflecting it away...great passage of play that.

I was there with a bunch of mates near the front just to the right of the goal. I was expecting Nelly to burts the back of the net and was gutted when West saved his shot. Cue City fans going mental when Tommy stuck his leg out to poke the ball in from the corner. Funnily enough I heard Tommy on Radio Manchester before the Newcastle game saying that a lot of fans tell him they 'remember' him scoring with a header.

I was eight and watching an amateur football match that day at the local playing fields because my dad knew a few of the players.

We all had our little transistor radios and when Tommy scored the crowd of about ten people all went mad.

I was there too, went to most games home and away between 1966 and 1970. Nice to see a close up of Harry Dowd, a very underrated goalkeeper (imo)
Me too .... Took over from Bert .... Then they kept buying others (Alan Ogeley and Ken Mulhearn) but he saw them both off
