I am a little worried about Dzeko coming in and partnering Aguero because we lose numbers in midfield with both wanting too occupy the central striker position.

With those two it's an out and out 4-4-2 whereas in my opinion we look more balanced with Jovetic in a 4-4-1-1, which will be needed against Everton.

This worries me also. I'm a Dzeko fan and it's not really his fault but right now he doesn't fit into our team. Last few games Jovetic/Nasri have alternated with one playing more on the left and the other drifting in the centre, they both can do either job well enough effectively making us a 4-5-1. Dzeko coming in makes us a very rigid and predictable 4-4-2. Tempting to stick fernando in and push yaya up a bit more but Milner to come in as a straight replacement for me.

Disappointed Jovetic is injuried again even if it is only a slight injury, He was hitting a bit of form and i think we'll see the best of him when he can have a sustained period starting every game. I rate him very highly but there comes a time when you have to question whether he's worth keeping around when he's injured so often. Strikers get injured more than any other player as they're kicked and tackled more, they're all going to get injured at some point but Imo we can only afford to have 1 striker with a dodgy injury record and that's Sergio.

Edin's not going to start, he's only back.

I imagine the idea is to have him replace Sergio for the last 20 minutes or so if all goes well. If they do end up on the pitch together then we must need a goal so all the better to have them both on.

I think the clear strategy for this match should be this. Just pass it to Sergio. In fact, that could well be a good game plan for the rest of the season.

the scousers simply need to form a huddle round him for the entire match, that's your clever strategy shot!...

Time for the curve ball. 22.40 Thursday 4/12 OS shows tickets available in 21 blocks, after the results of the last 4 games its a disgrace that its not yet a sell out. Mary Ds The Waldorf and loads more pubs will be full and standing of twats in City tops singing CTID plus necking £25 of drink.
For me its 500 miles plus round trip and a overnight stop in Macc, if we cannot sell out Neverton who are taking there full allocation for this game then I for one am this week "Disgusted Devon" .

Its not as bad as it appears Dave. If you click on the blocks there are only a few with available seats. It looks like it will sell out easily
tomorrow. Where we might struggle is the Crystal Palace game. They aren't bringing many and its the Saturday before Christmas.

Sorry to report Wilf, as at 16.30 Friday 14 blocks showing available on OS plus 22 pages on Viaripoff. Shame on you if your going down the pub for this game after the results of the past 14 days, hope your beer is on special offer at £5.75 a pint.
As for me, will be leaving the Waldorf at 16.30 before they put the price up.

they are not in a great form this season while we only start to get on the track...we should be too strong for them to handle 3-0 win C'mon City

Noticed on the History section of this site we have played Everton 174 times won 65, lost 66

http://bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/History/Matches/Opponent.aspx?id=46

Tomorrow would be a good day to even things up.

Does this generally suggest our club\history to date has been quite similar to Everton, similar crowds sizes, similar no's of trophies won, similar local rivals ?

Fingers crossed we are well into a path that diverges greatly upwards exponentially away from that of Evertons' path,

Have we also been very similar to Spurs (played 148, won 57, lost 57)?

http://bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/History/Matches/Opponent.aspx?id=62

and maybe even a bit like Newcastle and Aston Villa

Lets now accelerate past them all anyway with more trophies, more victories over them and a bigger stadium (bigger crowds) and be in the mix with the best clubs in Europe.

The future starts tomorrow with a win over Everton and then a victory in Rome (within the week when the CFA opens), and goes onwards with another League Title in May and a 55,000 crowd for our first home fixture next season !
