We can play any combination of players, including EDS, and still not lose by 6 goals. So lets make 11 changes. I see no reason at all to risk injury to a regular starter. This game is meaningless. Just get through it with a fit squad, that's the most important thing.

Priority above all should be getting Jovetic, Rodwell and Richards in some state to compete in important games, as they're currently the biggest squad losses who could prove pivotal in us winning anything, Jovetic especially.

I want to see us rest some of if not most of the key players, but at the same time I would like to see a decent side go out that will get us a result.

If we play all the reserves and kids and end up losing that's our unbeaten streak gone, we should be looking at doing our best to carry on getting results and keeping the confidence high throughout the club.

Costel

Clichy
Nastasic
Lescott
Richards

Garcia
Rodwell
Milner
Lopes

Jovetic
Aguero

1) key players who need rest get it
2) gives much needed minutes to Jovetic, Rodders and Lopes
3) strong enough to still push for a win, which is important IMO

But if that contributed to losing our unbeaten streak at Spurs instead, i'd rather lose it v West Ham and start a new winning streak at WHL! We should pick a team that in no way threatens our ability to beat Spurs away. Or in other words, start nobody that we intend to start at Spurs.

Indeed. We have two games before Spurs play again. They have 10 days off and will be fully rested, so rotation and resting key players is super important right now.

I know i'm by-passing the Watford game, but the FA Cup is of low priority to me, and we can win at home to Watford with anyone playing. These next 2 games are games to protect key players. It's important for the long-run. In my opinion, of course.

I think some will be disappointed, if that's possible, by the team. I reckon Lopes will be the only EDS player to start and one of the few in the squad.
