Did anything ever come of the talk of us doing a banner for the minutes silence? Thought that would of been class of our fans a top gesture.

The club are supplying one. I received an e-mail this morning.

I am pleased about that.We want our club and fans to remain a class act in spite of the few nutters most clubs will always attract.People scoff at Liverpool fans for this but if the boot was on the other foot we would feel exactly the same and want the same respect to be shown to our club.In case anyone has forgotten just what a horrific day that was look at some of the footage online.

City mark 25th anniversary of Hillsborough disaster by taking out a full-page advert in the #LFC programme. 'YNWA' with both club crests.

Large banner will be held up by City supporters, & wreaths of 96 blue & red roses will be passed to Dalglish & Rush by Summerbee & Corrigan.

Couldnt agree more. For me its one of those days that wil lstick with me forever. Stood in the Blackburn end and sense in the crowd that something really bad was happening. Really pleased were doing that on Sunday.

Can't believe the hype around Liverpool, just because they've won 8 games straight. City have got the vastly better record on consistency and have the best midfield and arguably attack when aguero, negredo and dzeko are on form as they were earlier in the season thus scored pots of goals.I think dzeko is vastly underrated by most city fans yet is scoring consistently. I like the fact that he is most likely to score the more pressure is placed on him, I think he'll score a brace at pool because of this. More than any other striker he seems to pose a threat finding opportunities in tight situations, he nearly postage stamped a goal against Barca but for brilliant keeping. Our midfield will be vital in stemming the supply to suarez and studge through controlling possession. With kompanys help, last time we played pool suarez did nothing.
Would love to beat pool and silence yet again the hoards of anti-city pro "top four" media mafia. We're simply a stunning team put together at great expense like Barca, real, Bayern etc. So get over it and embrace the quality. Note: silva, nasri and yaya all cost less individually than fellaini, look who's getting value in the market now!
I predict 1-3

Adding to that it could have easily have been our club at any one of those shitty grounds we visited in those times with our large away following and the fences and hostile policing of the day.

I agree. As more and more stuff has come out, I think opinions amongst many opposition fans have changed hugely. I'm not sure we can say too much on here because of the ongoing inquest but nowadays it should be pretty obvious to everyone where the blame lies and I for one hope the outcome is that charges will be brought against those ultimately responsible.

Anyway, got my e-mail from the club earlier. Fair play - I think it's the right thing to do to offer our own tribute:

The game between Liverpool and City at Anfield on Sunday 13th April 2014 will mark 25 years since the tragedy at Hillsborough.
As a mark of respect, the match will begin 7 minutes later than scheduled with kick off now at 1:37pm.
This is in recognition of the fact that the FA Cup semi-final on 15 April 1989 ended six minutes after kick-off. There will be a range of activities dedicated to the 96 Liverpool fans and the families of those lost their lives. This includes a large banner that the Club have provided at the request of a number of fans which you may be asked to help hold.
Please join everyone at Manchester City Football Club as we show our respect to the supporters who lost their lives, their families, and our friends at Liverpool Football Club.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
Kind regards,

We have a choice of power and height up front (Dzeko/Negredo with Yaya), or guile and movement (Aguero and Silva).
For me Aguero must start as he will pose more problems to their back four. The big decision is whether Navas or Garcia starts.

...............Hart
Zab Vincent MDM Clichy
.......Garcia Fernandhino
............Nasri Yaya
...........Silva Aguero

Just had my email from the club regarding the banner. Nice thing to do. Pay our respects before the game and hope our players show none to theirs on the pitch as soon as the whistle goes
