Yeah, we can’t forget that one of the key planks to this strategy is to ‘monetise’ the global fan base. Social media is being used to grow that and subsequently gain revenue from it through soccer tourism or sale of merchandise. Making the satellite clubs successful will also generat3 more revenue in th3 local fan bases. I don’t agree with th3 concept of ‘if you support NYC you will probably support MC’ but maybe it’s too early to make a call on that.
