Tbh, had Terry not been reported to the police, thereby triggering a prosecution, I think the FA would've come down very hard on him. Given the mood of the country at the time, and the pressure on the FA to be seen to be tackling racism in the game, I reckon that he would have faced a ban at least as long as that of Suarez, and for his England career to have ended.
