Farcical article. It's as if it was written by someone who has never attended a football match in their life and doesn't understand that at certain times during a game there will be empty seats, more soe towards the beginning or end of a half of football when trips to the loo, late arrivals, trips to the bar etc will be most prevelant. Combine that with it being an evening kickoff on a weekday, where certain people will have struggled to attend despite having the ticket as part of their season ticket, and you get the 7 or 8 seats he managed to highlight/circle in his pictures.
In order to understand the need for expansion it's not that difficult. Did the game sell out? Yes. Do most of our games sell out? Yes. Does this mean we have people wanting to buy tickets but unable to do so? Yes. Therefore expand the stadium, it's really not difficult to grasp.
Just because a snapshot of the stadium shows seats with no-one actually sat in them doesn't mean those seats were available for people to buy and that the option simply wasn't taken up!
