Yes you are. Thanks for logging in. Now move on Rag/Employee of the MUEN/Twat.
If you don't like the MEN (no I don't work for it...
When MP's speak in a parliamentary debate, they have to declare if they have a vested interest in the subject. Do you have a vested interest by any chance?

No. I am proud to be a Man City supporter since 1979 when I sat in the Platt Lane, saw Dalglish score two goals in a 4-0 drubbing and that was it, I was a blue. Is that a vested interest? I have followed bluemoon from time to time and there is some great stuff here but I just couldn't believe how mad people were getting about a story in a paper everyone on the site says they never read. I just think such anger is unhealthy and demeans us and the club.

But surely you can see why it would grate - an ill informed article, put together with childish red circles in crayon, intended to perpetuate the myth of our lack of support. It was inaccurate and misleading. This is supposed to be our local paper, it came across as though it was written by a Utd fanzine editor so it shouldn't come as any surprise that a forum such as BM might find it offensive.

Am I alone in thinking that 89 pages of rage at some poxy wee article suggests that we are being just a bit touchy? It was a crap article. So ignore it.

Nope, just a Blue with 33 years as a season ticket holder. And not so easily offended as many fellow supporters. If you don't like the MEN (no I don't work for it and don't read it), then just ignore it. But stop getting so stressed about it. It just makes us all look like swivel eyed loonies and not the supporters of the best club in Europe.

I hang my head in shame as I self flagellate with a knotted leather thong , nothing to do with being bollocked by Mr Mitchell I am just kinky that way.

It was a very strange post but I will put away my cynicism until I see what your next post is. If it is a lone voice against 500 baying Blues well.......

Pfft 33 years....... ;)

Well, i happen to agree with hmitchell. It really isn't that big a deal.

Journalists are paid to write provocative pieces and get people reading and debating their stories. This forum debates whether we have a big enough fanbase for the extra seats so why can't the MEN? I also think the empty seats are partially relevant, as if there was a burning demand for seats those who couldn't make the game would be able to sell their tickets on more easily.

I wasn't at York nor wrexham and accept that may call my provenance into question.

Because the "debate" was predicated on a lie.

And again someone on a wind up or simply missing the point. The article was flawed from start to finish. He was not making a valid objective point and it is something a real Evening News reporter accepted and apologised for.
Perhaps if you had been here at the beginning of the thread you would have realised that. The match was sold out, not everyone wants to sell their tickets on Viagogo, not everyone got to the match, as posters on here said, they were driving to the game and got stuck in traffic, some simply went for a Piss. BUT and this is the big BUT, it was the line 'Swathes of Empty seats and the dick managed to ring four or five in totally different areas that did it for me.

No, your shite post that doesn't deal with the reason why many blues were genuinely put out May call your provenance into question.

I can deal with provocative pieces but they should have a basis in fact. We know we've got enough to at least expand one of the stands as we have 5,000 people on the waiting list. We weren't talking about whole areas of empty seats; there were a few and you could see people in the aisles going to and from those seats.

Also traffic problems and the fact it was a school night meant that some people couldn't get there.
