Manchester Hotels

Usually stay at the Abode - between the station and piccadilly gardens.

Don't stay at the Brittania, mate, It's cheaper for a reason - about 20 years past it's decorate by date.

While I would agree with you for the OP going over with the wife, I have stayed at the Brittania quite a few times, and for a crowd of lads wanting to enjoy the game and have a few beers there is nought wrong with it, even stayed there with a few of my team mates when over for the England Aus game at the real Old Trafford last summer, great old building, great location, clean bedding, comfortable bed, though by the time we got back to the hotel, I could have slept on B of the Bang and slept soundly.

Stayed in the Brittania in August 2005 I think it was, Man City v West Brom, Me and my dad checked into the hotel we were having a drink in the lounge, We went for a piss before we set off for the game, 3 lads followed us in the toilet (Man Utd) Fans start trying to have a go at us calling us all sorts all started again when we went into the lounge not a word said to them.

my pal booked the holiday inn express on swan st last night and paid 50 quid including breakfast. he only booked it yesterday morning.
