Manchester Pride 2014 Plans

Wow, that's fantastic news! Very happy to see that the club is making this gesture. Should be a great series of events.

Just noticed the bit about the club helping cover the stall fee as well. Wonderful! My brother lives in London and got married to his boyfriend/husband on Marriage Equality Day at the Shoreditch Town Hall. Love seeing the club help pitch in for something like this.
 
Just echoing in that its great news to see the club backing the Canal Street Blues in their parade on Saturday.

The club and staff have been really helpful and pro-active towards the whole event. Last minute plans are still going through for them to hopefully provide more things over the weekend, but even if these don't come off, all people we have worked with show what a great community club MCFC are, and certainly care about their fans. I think all LGBT fans can be proud to be associated with such a club!
 
Moonchester and Moonbeam for Saturday and if Mario is finished his medical cover in Gerard dipper do do land he'll bring a few fireworks

I for one would love it if Moonchester and Moonbeam wore a Manchester Pride T-Shirt with the new blue shorts.

WHITE SHORTS!!!

Seriously, we used to go after the Maine Road matches and hang out on the balcony at Manto in the Madchester days. Then, one day, we were told by the bouncers that gangs of straight lads weren't allowed anymore. Weird as we were obviously there as we were and are not homophobic [we liked the straight birds that went though).

I later went a few times to the Pride weekend, but only with girlfriends. Always enjoyed it but got too old and bored for the hammered bar routine.

All good fun though and I wish you all well. It's quite an amazing gesture frmo the club, especially when you consider the culture/religion that the owners come from. This and the investment in the women's teams is highly commendable. Fair play to HH Sheikh Mansour and 'the gang'. As Public Enemy once said, 'Don't Believe the Hype'. CTID
