The Men’s First Team Remembrance activations will take place on Remembrance Sunday when Liverpool visit the Etihad Stadium.

Prior to kick-off Pep Guardiola will place a wreath pitch side and there will be a performance of the Last Post before those in attendance take part in a minute’s silence.

Earlier in the day there will be a service in the Club’s Memorial Garden, where Mike Summerbee will lay a wreath, joined by members of the Former Players Association as well as the Club’s Chaplain.

Throughout the Remembrance window all our Men’s and Women’s First Team players will wear a poppy on their shirts, and those worn by City players during their matches will be donated and auctioned via Match Worn Shirt to raise money for the Royal British Legion.

Meanwhile, our Academy Teams will also take the time to reflect, the Under-18’s will observe a minute’s silence ahead of their fixtures around Remembrance Sunday.

I do hope there will be a minutes silence after the Last Post - but past experience is people breaking into applause and no silence happening.

Feels disrespectful and annoys me every time

i do feel like the last post feels like the Lurpak advert with Morph and it cracks me up every time

Annoys me n’all.

The bugler isn’t there as part of some talent contest, he’s not there to get applause from the spectators, it’s supposed to be a Remembrance service.

The Last Post should be followed by a silence.

Wouldn't this have been better posted near the end of the coming week, rather than 11 days before remembrance day itself?

It's for all City teams including the women who played yesterday and had a remembrance as they don't play at home again until after the 11th

The modern world mate. Everyone wants to be noticed being virtuous so it becomes a who can clap and cheer with the most enthusiasm contest.

Standing there in a dignified and respectful silence won’t get them noticed so they won’t be doing that
