Manchester Storm - Ice Hockey

Still doing incredibly well this season. 46 games in, 2nd in the league and currently top of the conference.

its a money saving exercise in reality, The league is made up of 12 teams and 3 conferences,

You have a the Gardiner ( Scottish ) conference with Braehead, Fife, Edinburgh and Dundee,
You have the Patton ( central/south ) conference which is Storm, Conventry, Milton Keynes and Guildford.
and finally you have Erhardt confrence which is made up of the "big boys", the areana teams with Sheffiled, Nottingham, Belfast and Cardiff.

Each team will play teams in their own conference four times at home and four times away (12 home games + 12 away games).

Each team will play teams in the other conference twice at home and twice away (16 home games + 16 away games).

The winner of the Elite League title is the side with the most points from their full 56-game season.

So we're 2nd in the main league and top of our conference at the moment. However league wise there is a team ( Fife ) who have a ton of games in hand over us and could if they win them take 2nd place. Guildford are 6 games behind us and 12 points so could equal us if they win them all.

Conference champs and confirmed 2nd in the league after beating the league champs this evening.

Does anyone still go to storm on here? I’m thinking of going soon, is it good to take a toddler to?

Trying to get him into more sports than just his beloved blues. Took him to giants a few weeks ago and he loved it. I’ve been toying with the idea of storm for a while.

My friend Bigfoot's son is in the storm academy. Watched him train a few times and he's dedicated, good player too. They run coaching classes of kids all ages Some of the youngsters are so good they look like they were born on the rink!
 
For those into Hockey the Elite League has cancelled the 20/21 season. its been looking inevitable for a while but confirmed it today.
