It's strange really going into a derby but almost (I did say almost) the worst thing we could do is win tomorrow. Because it is bound to feel like all but winning the league.

The risk would be - however much Pep says he will not let it happen and would try not to - there would inevitably a bit of an easing off given that there would be such a cushion - especially if January comes and we are still in two cups and the CL is due back.

So a draw really would be a great result. And might keep that illusion of it already being over away through the next month when there are a lot of league games to play in quick succession and things could change fast.

No way will we go there for a draw and I expect us to rediscover some of the energy from earlier in the season and win this one. But I would not feel it would be a disaster if we drew.

Personally I am starting to think the game at Anfield in January is potentially bigger. They are playing well and scoring and I suspect could end up more of a threat in the long run.

I expect United to put more effort into the cups because they may well think they have to win something this season and given the draws they always get that has to be their best shot.

Get through both tomorrow and Anfield without losing and I think we will be 90% there. Because I just cannot see Pep letting them lose enough games outside of those.

Problem is the players are bound to think that too and it cannot really not effect the rest of the season just a bit. I am enjoying the way they are playing to win so much the longer we need to win each game the more it will taste sweet.

Funny to read borinho and giggs comments. They don’t usually make statements like this unless they’re worried about us as a threat. It’s good to see!

The forecast for snow tomorrow has been downgraded a bit. Less likely it will be off unless it changes again.

Our players would get a well needed rest going into the christmas fixtures.

We'd only need to beat Swansea to break the wins record. Breaking records like that feeds into the aura building around the team.

I'm confident the gap would be a lot more than 8 points in February when it's likely to be rearranged to and we could enjoy 2 derbies knowing we'd already won the league in all but name.

Stones would be back and he's just as important to us as Pogba is to them. No coincidence that we've stopped scoring goals and started shipping them as soon as he's been injured - and particularly at set pieces.

Totally agree mate , do Swansea and I mean do Swansea and get back in the saddle smashing teams , we are all getting caught up in the hysteria about this game , we are 8 clear , let’s make that 11/14 points before we play them.

As you say rest the squad and have JS back and possibly sign Sanchez and A.N Other in January.

We will spank United. Let them have a bit of confidence and think we have gone off the boil, it will be their downfall.
We have not gone off the boil at all. We have totally dominated the matches but have come up against teams parking the bus who have nothing to lose.
Now if the rags park the bus, it will be exactly the same as recent matches where we eventually break through. Unfortunately for the rags they have everything to lose and need to come at us. When they do, we will tear them to pieces.
I so hope you’re right, mate. If we batter them and win by three or four it will absolutely floor them.

After the Chelsea loss, a draw would be a fantastic result tomorrow.
Makes me appreciate our victory last week against that lot all the more. That back 5 is some defensive unit. Zaba and his counterparts did a massive job on Hazard to the extent that he became useless. Very good start to the weekend.
