Mancini: “Hamsik is not part of Manchester City’s plans”

No clue why we'd give up on him. It's not like we have a wave of elite youngsters wanting to play here like Barca/Real.

Hope we're not fixating on Milner. He looks solid but, TBH, we need more at midfield than just him.

The lad is a good player, no doubt about it. However, he loves life in Italy and Naples is a Unique city - it has a South American feel to it. Perhaps Mancini does not feel confident the lad would settle over here, his wife has just had a baby too... Look at the money we have wasted over the last couple of years on players who don't like English life (or perhaps just Manchester) - Robinho, Boj, Bianchi, Jo etc.... Its no good just buying foreign players beacuse they are top quality, you have to take into account many other things.

You have a very valid point/s there.

Just seen in the papers that Manure are looking to get van der vart from Real for £20m as well as Yaya Toure from Barca for £18m. Where are they going to have the money?

Furthermore, what is concerning me is that I thought we were suppose to be looking for these two players especially. Toure for the central mid and Van Der Vart for the attacking mid role.

If those rumours are true then we are lagging behind in the transfer battle over players we have been looking at for a while.

Wouldn't worry about it too much mate. We try our best to keep our deals under wraps and it's early days yet, so just try and sit tight. The rags won't sign Toure and VDV. They'll sign one of them at a real push, but probably neither of them

Gutted. Both he and Gourcuff are twice the player Milner is. The only reason i can see for him saying this is that the lad will sign a new contract or is on his way to another club and Bobby knows he has no chance of signing him.

Other wise everyone knows its always better to keep shtum.

More Football Manager players.

Gourcoff and Hamsik are both massively overrated, usually by people who have very seldom watched them play. Both would be found out rather quickly in England, as is shown when they have played either strong teams or English teams in the CL. Gourcoff was absolutely dire against Chelsea when they smashed Bordeaux 4-1 last year. He also completely flopped at Milan.
Hamsik is no better than what we have in Ireland, apart from Ste actually has some strength about him and doesn't hold on to the ball for 30 years before passing.

Anyone think we should be looking around some of the lower leagues of English football for potential young players for the creative mid position. There could be a chance that they'll be a hit like AJ.
