Mancini Breaking News Part 4

Those posters saying City should now say something are the same who for the last few weeks insisted City didn't need to say anything, responding to speculation.

If they had briefed this two months, with the promise of a heads-up when the trigger was about to be pulled, we wouldn't be in this mess today.

The lawyers are thrashing out the settlement and hope to hear something tonight.

They'll let him have his goodbyes on Sunday imo nothing will happen till next week.

Cant see it mate tbh, the last thing we need is a fan versus the board scenario played out on national tv-you can see the headlines now on Monday morning

"City fans show disgust at Abu Dhabi hierachy"

Kidd to take the last two games

Clearly he's being briefed to drip information out while the club continues to be silent.

The club can't say anything now, it would look even more ridiculous than not saying anything on Friday or yesterday.
Why can't they just sack him? Do we have to wait for a replacement?
I think you're right on that Marvin. Do it and get it over with. The only thing I can think of is that lawyers are involved in sorting out the details and they can't do anything until that's finished.

Lawyers on 2k per hour, this may take a while.

Brennan is a journalist. If there was some juicy info that he could break, he would break it. Those quotes sound to me like he really doesn't have a fucking clue what's going on, but he's on the radio so he wants to sound important. Brennan hasn't got a clue.
Dont be so naive,he is obviously being briefed by the hierarchy at the club as to what to "say" and what "not to say"
What is clear is that Robbie is a dead man walking, sort it out City

I agree that if he's going get it done now otherwise the atmosphere will deteriorate further. Personally I was convinced he'd resign before being dismissed and maybe the club felt the same (or maybe not - who knows anything these days?). Now that it seems clear it's going to happen then I'd rather it just did happen and leave Kiddo or Platt in charge for last 2 games.

If it's not going to happen then say so.

If I was the Sheikh I'd be launching an internal investigation into how the news leaked. It should be fairly easy to trace back. In the 90s Franny Lee, Frank Clark & others talked of fifth columns and so on - that all helped destabilise City then and the Sheikh cannot allow that to destabilise City now or in the future. Whether it's been leaked in Carrington, Manchester, Oldham, Trafford, or Barcelona the leak needs to be plugged. I'm sure the Sheikh will be livid.

I take it we'll have to wait until the end of the Spanish season to confirm whether Pellegrini is coming.

Wouldn't it be amusing if Pellegrini rejects our offer and goes elsewhere.
This looks like a semi rejection of sorts <a class="postlink" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22508252" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22508252</a>

what about getting stew syco back he's good with yoof

If Pellegrini rejects us now we will be the biggest laughing stock - ever!

Peter Swales must be spinning in his grave! Even he couldn't have handled this whole affair this badly! The new management have not got off to a good start have they?

The way I read that is that he hasn't signed a deal yet. No bridges burned, but none crossed.

Do we have a viable Plan B if Pellegrini decides to opt for another club at the last minute?

How sewn up is Mourinho to Chelsea?

Everybody keeps going on about Mancini 'losing the players', 'the players not wanting to play for him', 'the players don't like him' etc., etc., BUT

those same players are paid an absolute fortune to play for MANCHESTER CITY, not for Mancini. So why don't they get up off their overpaid backsides and do the job they are paid to do?

I had a headteacher who nobody had any respect for, we all detested him but we didn't go in every day saying 'I'm not going to work for this guy' we had a job to do that we were paid reasonably well for and we did it. We knew that our results mattered and not just to us but to the students we taught.

So the players should know that their results matter, not just to them but to the fans and the club that pays them handsomely, no matter what they think about the manager.

As for Stuart Brennan, how long have people on here been saying that he is a closet rag? So why are you believing him now?

I knew I should have stayed away, I managed half an hour to do some housework but the pull of this flaming Bluemoon thread was toooo strong for me!!! :-)
