Not sure about Mancini - seems to have bottled it in the bigger games for me.
We are noe not in a position to attract the players that would have pushed us on to another level because we've missed out on the Champs League - however with a world class manager I still believe we could get them, step forward the one and only Jose Mourinho.
We need him if we ever aspire to take on the biggest teams in Europe, he can draw players in and is as tactically aware as the best of them, he has a proven (almost glittering) track record of success - I take the point his teams can be somewhat dour at times but he's a winner with a winning mentality.
Love him or hate him, love or disloath his playing style he gets results when they count - unlike we did this evening.
I for one would rather be sat here now knowing we are playing in the Champs League next year instead of Spurs - I believe he would have done that and at the same time I believe a certain Mr Hughes would have too.
Big games under Mancini:
Manchester City 2-1 Manchester United
Manchester United 3-1 Manchester City
Manchester City 0-0 Liverpool
Chelsea 2-4 Manchester City
Manchester City 0-1 Manchester United
Arsenal 0-0 Manchester City
Manchester City 3-1 Aston Villa
Manchester City 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur
3 Wins 2 Draws 3 Defeats
Can be improved but there is defo signs there that he can manage in the big games, I think if he's alowed to bring in his own players we will see a much more solid City with a better mentality.
