Mancini for England Job ?

Named one of my grandsons after Bobby, never forget what he achieved, tearing that joke of a banner down, I always felt the 11/12 season was one of the best I've watched since 67/68, love the guy, but knew he had to go, what would England have to lose in appointing Bobby it's at its lowest it's ever been, over the years I've seen coaches like don Howe, wilkinson, mcclaren etc smash any natural talent out of the players without success so why not let Bobby do it with a chance of a good run

The only reason Bruce would be picked over Mancini is nationality - the two track records just don't compare

Nationality is basically the only criteria... Mancini was also available 1st time around.... but don't think he was seriously considered at all

Hardly - if Mancini was such a good defensive coach why did Pep describe Jerome Boateng as a blank canvas who no one had actually coached in defending?
Probably because Boateng never bothered his bollocks while he was here.

I'd hate him to be tarnished by the england job. Its a shite team full of rags and would probably struggle to stay up in a decent league. Every time our lads are involved with playing for the national side I just hope they stay fit and don't cone back with bad habits.
