Mancini for England Job ?

As a City fan he almost instantly improved us when he took over and has a proven track record in cup competitions, he reached at least the semi final every year in his first 14 years in management. The difference between Hughes' City and Mancini's City was chalk and cheese after a couple of games.

When you consider the betting is Fat Sam, then Klinsmann (both won fuck all as a manager), then Hiddink and then Hoddle (won fuck all and has not managed for years and oh is a ****) and there isnt much between them odds wise, and then consider Bobby Manc is 40/1 i'd say he'd do a better job than those other 4 and just about anyone listed in the betting.

Really? I must have imagined the two 6-1 away wins at the swamp and Norwich in the title-winning season - plus that 5-1 away win, can't quite remember who we played...

Hope he gets the job, a few of those players need a proper bollocking and Mancini never shied away from that.

They were great wins but people raved when MP came about the exciting football compared to Mancini. Either way I don't think he'd do well for England. He'd do a better job at a team going for a title than England

Not at all, with the same players we were better organised, the back 4 were moving in unison all of a sudden, rather than the headless chickens they were under Hughes, all before he had bought a player in anger. The monster players came in his first summer, but the improvement was already marked and obvious if you watched us every week.

You think the players will respect Fat Sam or Hoddle? What have they ever won as managers for them to be respected more than Bobby Manc? Mancini had won more than those 2 before he landed his first big job at Inter where he won even more.

Every year the England job is going to get harder. The amount of players to choose from are getting few and far between with all the foreign players being signed.

I'd have him he would be an instant effect on the team, he'd slap Rooney in his place straight away which undermined Roy by him leading the senior players in questioning the tactics. Yes Rooney was probably right to some extent but teams fails when they start pulling in different directions.

Anyone remember him going mental at Tevez for him trying to do a team talk when Mancini wasn't in the dressing room. On a plus side it would be nice to see Bobby rolling around trying to strangle Harry Kane during training.

Nope chance. Boring cautious football and trying to teach our players to defend well would waste his efforts. We tried with Capello before and that was a big faliure

We scored 3 goals 27 times, 4 goals 14 times, 5 goals 9 times, 6 goals 3 times in his time with us.

That was after a poor end to the season before Pellegrini came in. The most boring football at City since the takeover was last season under Pellegrini.
