Well, quite simply he's been excellent. He's bought top class players with a combination of the right attitude, right age and with plenty of experience at club and international level.

Vieira- Free transfer and done a lot for the club
Boateng- His one big blip but will go on to be a big player, just not here unfortunately.
Kolorov- Big money but proving this year that he will make a top class premier league left back.
Clichy- At £7m an absolute no brainer.
Savic- £7m, great potential.
Yaya- Excellent player with top class experience. So much more to our team than he's often given credit for.
Milner- Paid the 'English' tax at over the odds but if he keeps performing like he did on Sunday then he'll be worth every penny. Great squad player.
Balotelli- Question marks off the field but on the field oozes class. 21, will come good.
Silva- Nothing needs to be said.
Johnson- £7m no brainer.
Aguero- Big money but sheer class.
Nasri- will simply be fantastic in this team.

Some of these players we paid over the odds for but in our situation that's always going to happen. When you think of some of the players Hughes paid almost £20m for, these are fantastic signings in comparison and has taken us very close to where we want to be. When you think of the ages of them and how long they are tied to contracts for you can't see anything other than a very bright, blue future.

I might have missed off a signing or two, apologies if so.
