Wait..some posters on here actually insinuating that they know better than Mancini on the Sheikh's opinion?

I honestly think this is the moment that that group have gone way over the edge of the cliff now. That's insanity.
Which group his that mate or do I not need to guess?

At the risk of repeating myself Mario is PR gold. That much is obvious and since the point of buying City was about raising Abu Dhabi profile and PR the fact that Mario attracts headlines, comment and appearing on cover of TIME is all good as far as the owners are concerned. And before anyone starts about the negative publicity well it isn't. Most of the negative stuff is harmless buffoonery and doesn't change the fact that Mario is essentially a likeable character.

Obviously at some point the football has to match the off field publicity and there are times when it has and times when it hasn't. This season it most noticeably hasn't and unless it does on a consistent basis Mario will eventually be toast as his PR value will also lessen which is the way it goes.

Correct me if I am wrong but one of the reasons (and god there were so many) Hughes got the chop was his refusal to communicate with the owners including post match discussions and one thing Mancini did was make sure he chatted to Khaldoon via the phone after every match and discuss what went right or wrong. Sometimes Sheikh Mansour would be involved in the chat and sometimes not but quite clearly there was discussion between the coach and the owners on a regular basis and not just a 'once a year job' which frankly is an asinine statement. The day Mancini fails to keep up with the owners take on events is the day Mancini is looking for a new job.
Spot on Bob.

Anyone who believes that Mario hasn't repayed his transfer fee and wages with the attendant publicity that his time at City has given the club is deluded. We were always going to need a high profile superstar to raise the status of the club above the merely aspirational.

He has given a few notable moments on the pitch, including a celebration at Old Trafford that will be shown for generations, but he has served a useful purpose beyond that arena as our club has attempted to achieve a status in the game which seemed impossible a few short years ago. Until recently the mere suggestion of City being one of the biggest clubs in club football would have been met with derision. No more, and Mario has played a part in raising the profile of the club to make that vision possible. Only a small part, but you only have to travel abroad and talk about City now to realise how things have changed in the last twelve months and more often than not it's Mario they want to talk about more than any other player.

It may be time to move on, for both parties sakes, but he has been good value for the investment that the club has made in him, a view that this interview seems to accede to.

The cliff being faecal rather than fiscal.

Hahaha. Love that comment. So deluded our resident clown Mancio could've said it ...

Mancini is summoned once a year to see our owner, he won't have a scooby what he thinks from one month to the next!
That's naive.

What's incorrect about it?

Mancini goes to Abu Dhabi to meet our owner once a year.

As stated, he is a very busy man and trusts people who know more about football than him to make decisions.

At no stage was it said that he does not liaise with those who are delegated to do so.

The whole reason Marwood was always getting it in the neck from Bobby was exactly because he was the go to man.

As for the psychological profile based on my use of adjective and punctuation, that's a new one.

As they state, quite entitled to that opinion, although anyone who offers an alternative from the consensus on here, is increasingly met with a pack sarcasm, facetiousness and general hostility because it.

So there is no communication between owner and club execs apart from the annual review? What a ridiculous thing to say.

why the hell should the Owner waste his precious time talking with mancini when he already have an on daily basis chat with his councilors billyshears and tolmiehairdoo ? ?
that needed saying

You don't rate Balotelli it really brings out the haters lol

I cant think off a more over hyped, and over rated player in our history. In my opinion he brings nothing to the table.I keep hearing he has potential is the third best player in the world after Messi and Ronaldo.well i must know absolutely fcuk all about football then because i see nothing .I see a selfish, lazy player with a bad attitude who doesn't give a fcuk about City just himself.

I think the whole Ballotelli Circus undermines everything we are doing as a Club.I also think the way he gets preferential treatment from the manager probably upsets other players in our squad.

It is going to be hard trying to retain our title from here on in,with his involvement in games it will be virtually impossible.

Being called a RAG is out of order.Ironic though, in my opinion those benefiting from this Clown staying with us are those over at the swamp,he is invaluable to them they see the value in this idiot staying with us.Those that shout the loudest on this forum think about it ehhhhh ?

He nearly cost us last season.Lets hope he doesn't cost us this one.
there you go
