Also if you think about it, even if Mourinho comes to City for only a couple of seasons, you have prized away United from ever getting him. There is no way if Mourinho manages City, United will ever go for him. Just won't happen and i think Mourinho is the only manager good enough to replace Ferguson, so you are potentially leaving United without a top manager when Ferguson goes in the next couple of years!
