Potential is not a word that should be used anymore with Johnson. 25 next month, as a winger he should be kicking arse right now but he is regressing, not improving.

The best winger in Europe at the moment is 23, Angel Di Maria, and is an example of fulfilling potential even if he is an odious, diving woman.

Hate to say it, Nani is another example of potential (and he was mediocre for a long time) being fulfilled, he is about half a year older than Johnson and far better.

Said before, will say again, AJ is a 'homer'. All his good games and most of his goals are at home, and nearly all against teams in the lower reaches of the table. Unless someone can remind me about any great games he's played against the top sides - or away from home at all?
He's a decent player but in my view wouldn't nail down a regular place in any of the top 6 sides.

He's not really, Nani is hugely superior to Johnson in every respect (dribbling, crossing, scoring, assisting) and one of the top attacking players in the league. The only thing I hate about Nani as a player (not taking into account that he is an utter prick and diving c*nt) is that he wastes too many long range shots.

If we want a Nani equivalent then we need someone like Hazard or Lavezzi (not a winger exactly but has the same explosive impact). Bellamy was closer to our Nani than Johnson IMO.

AJ poor touches, lost 99% of the balls, poor passes. Poor crossing and shots.
Refused to track back I have been backing him since the start but he is a bench player as is Dzeko. Best chance they had to show what they have and they failed badly.

Bring back Balotelli and start Silva against Liverpool.
