Mancini met with Juve officials at Fulham

City are playing Fulham,
Mancini goes to watch Fulham
Fulham are playing Juventus
Mancini with no official duties is in probably the directors suite
Mancini talks (being Italian and all) to all the Italian, most of which are probably Juventus Officials

I get what your saying but the press have got hold of something and turned it into "breaking headlines"

Yes, they've sensationalised it. I doubt there's any significance in the fact that he was at Juve's game on Thursday and no doubt spoke to some acquaintances.

is it just coincidence, hes italian, we play fulham just after this match, and the papers print bollocks all the time.
if he stays he stays, if he goes he goes, we are city we will always be here reguardless of what anyone thinks.

-- Sun Mar 21, 2010 12:02 pm --

mancini had an evening meal in puccini's in swinton that doesnt mean he's going to buy a maisonette on the precinct

Funny with a point.

Well done DnL.

I think things change in football, if you looked across the road four years ago then you might of said that that was a job most wouldn't turn down, but now most wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

I don't know much about juv and their financial set up, but it can't be any better than City and if your a coach with ambition then City is the hottest spot in football.

according to the mirror today......

Apparently he was seen with Roberto Bettega and the mirror have put 2 and 2 together and made 537.

Any truth in this?...

Juve have huge pulling power to Italians, is this the beginning of the end for Bobby Manc or Mirror bullshit?

Probably made up BS to placate the upset Juve fans after the exit to fulham...

Bobby manc was available for a year til we got him.

No he wasn't, I think it was more like a month or two.

Being Juventus manager is certainly a step up from where he is now so you never know.
On what basis? A ground half the size of ours and can't fill it. No support in their home city. Weaker squad. Weaker league. Weaker ambitions. They are not guaranteed CL football next season, with Palermo looking more likely to land that 4th space.

At this point in time Juventus is a step up from City as far as historical prestige goes, but pretty much nothing else.

History.

As they say .. lol!

I might be in for a titanic pic here but i've not been on the board for a couple of hours so here it is..

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has quickly moved to end speculation linking him with Juventus.

Alberto Zaccheroni replaced the sacked Ciro Ferrara back in January after a slow start to the Serie A campaign, and now the Old Lady have crashed out of the Europa League at the hands of Fulham.

Mancini was spotted at Craven Cottage where Juventus fell victim to a stellar Fulham perfromance, adding fuel to speculation Mancini was going to take the reigns at the Italian club.

Despite the unrest and reports linking Mancini with the post, the Italian denies he will be leaving Manchester City any time soon.

"I was at the stadium on Thursday simply because today we were meeting Fulham in the league so I wanted to watch the show there," Mancini said, according to the Press Association.

"I am honoured that my name has been linked to that of Juventus but there is no truth at all."

Mancini took over from Mark Hughes earlier in the season on a three-and-a-half year deal which reportedly includes a clause which allows either party to terminate in the summer.

So not ruling himself out completely :)
