My favourite season, the year we won the First Division with Keegan :-)
Wonderful for a while,along with our owners,the answer to our prayers,and a seemingly marriage made in heaven........However,the club got rid because he made his situation unworkable,our entire gaff was toxic and he was harming the clubs future.Even after all this time,you continue to ignore that pertinent fact.

Edge of seat football week after week is just as thrilling or more so.
I know what you mean mate. I can’t put my finger on one exact reason why, but it was incredibly demoralising wasn’t it?
I half jokingly said afterwards that the Leeds game on Saturday was now a must-win, but in terms of spirit, another defeat on the bounce would be really significant I think - get back to winning ways and we can hopefully move on. Leeds tactics will be fascinating.

Mancini for me. He stood up for the club and the fans and when the shit was flying or anyone tried it on (Ferguson in particular) he didn't bow down, apologise or take a step backwards. I liked that arrogance. We needed it. That team had everything.
I watched every one of those City tv matchday videos back then and was always fascinated when it got to the part where you would see the opposition in the tunnel waiting before the game. Then we'd come out alongside them...Vinny, Joe Hart, Zaba/Micah, Lescott, Gaz Baz, Yaya, Merlin, Sergio, Tevez, Kolarov, maybe Dzeko, maybe Mario, maybe De Jong...we towered over the opposition. They were intimidated before a ball was kicked. We had class, we had skill, we had power, we were trench warriors. You want to take us on a football...ok we'll play you off the park. You want to fight us ? Fine, go ahead. We're much bigger and stronger than you. We were hungry. We wanted it more. We weren't there to be nice or make friends - we were there to win football games. No wonder that team went a year unbeaten at home.

Back to the subject matter. Roberto for me because despite all the stuff about him being toxic, he was more loveable than Pep. He had a bit of charm. He had some balls too the way he took on Ferguson and unlike Pep he didn't belittle the club.
However as the world knows Guardiola is the greater manager.

The transition period where we were toppling United and just becoming a top side under Mancini cannot be compared, that was a huge sea change for us as a club and fanbase and the way we did it will probably never be compared in context.
What Pep has achieved is incredible but it's different for that reason. We're already at the top table.

Welcome back from the coma you were obviously in last season. I have seen a few posts saying it’s only 1 defeat. I judge myself for replying to such illogical fools. Anyone who has watched us over a period of time must see with their own eyes things are wrong. We can discuss and disagree what is wrong but to come up with the solitary game bullshit is very laughable.
