Mancini Out

If this league is such a terrible league, why are last season's double winners currently 6 points off of the top?

It's so unrealistic to think that a team as new as ours isn't going to drop points here and there.

Red Roms interference and the sacking of Wilkins.

Without the above they would have walked it imo.

the same we would have done without the Christmas tevez transfer request.

Dont agree mate. It is clear that Mancini and Tevez just don't like each other and one if not both wont be here next season but i don't hold that one issue responsible as to why we wont win the league this season.

Some of the ignorance with regards to the premier league is shocking on here, we really should no better. The whole premiership is closer than it's ever been, just look at the bottom. The years when the top teams were miles ahead of the pack were the years when there were at least two teams totally detached at the bottom. This year is unique in that the bottom team still have a chance to stay up with 5/6 games to go which says it all. For the first time in years it might be necessary to have more than 40 points to stay up...this has a huge impact on the number of points the top teams will have.

It is fair to say that inexperience, poor performances, team not gelling and yes even poor management at times cost us some points at the start of the season (at home) but the truth is, however United have managed to do it with their squad, they are 14 points above us. That is not us throwing away the odd game with poor performances but more them being better than us in the league. They have been relentless at times regardless of their supposed inferior squad whilst we've lacked any real consistency.

Next year is the season the full effects of the money and squad will be seen and I for one cannot wait!

I agree, had Tevez not pulled a stupid stunt like that. I think we would be leading. That was the tipping point. It caused tension and destablised the campaign.

Anyone who is " happy" with Mancini have very different expectations than me and possibly our owners .
They can't possibly go to the games, just say we have underachieved is the understatement of the century. We have thrown away point after point game after game.
This seasons prem is the worst in history, we have the best squad ever and yet we are clinging to 4th spot, we should be winning it ffs.
I can't see him here next season but if he is surely he will have learnt by now how to play the game, play that negative again and we'll be back next April shitting it wondering if we'll make the champions league.

I dont think we dare risk that.
That's ridiculous. The league is tighter than ever. The top isn't as good as in the past, but the bottom is much better than in the past. I truly fear for our fanbase if we do get Mourinho because he's even more prone to shutting up shop than Mancini.

-- Thu Apr 21, 2011 7:37 am --

It's not a matter of who doesn't like each other for me. It's a matter of who demanded a transfer. He could have done this in the summer, couldn't he have? He could have done it at a point where the best player on the team wasn't destabilizing everyone with a blatant power play, but he chose otherwise, didn't he?

Disagree with every single point you have made there.

He is also more prone to winning things!

Getting the better of Barcelona is an achievement however it is done.

I am in general not a Mancini fan but I ready to eat humble pie should we win a trophy!

Agreed. Tevez and his agent acted in a deplorable fashion, no arguments from me on that mate.

If Mancini wins the cup an we don't get fourth and we get rid a lot if fans will be very annoyed including myself The feeling is I think the board really want Mancini to succeed!
