There you go Mancio! Good response. Some of our older fans like me are open to newcomers, but I guess some people want to keep the revolution among themselves.

You're welcome as a City fan in my eyes any day.

By the way, Guardiola is not coming to City......Is he? I hope not.

you can be quiet mate :)

Ultimately, it's performances that bring results. On player quality and money invested, we should not be 14 points behind the League leaders, but we are, aren't we.
If what we see on the pitch is not good enough, then we are entitled to voice our opinions on what, or who, is to blame.
If as you say, performances bring results, then surely it's fine to judge purely on results? The realists among us aren't surprised a side with a number of new players (new to both club and English football) hasn't immediately challenged for the league title, you'll find the majority of blues will be happy with 4th (or better) and the first pot for a generation.

I did say 'ultimately', didn't I?
In a poor season, when none of the usual top teams have played to their normal standards, we are presently in fourth place and a relatively poor United team have left us trailing by 14 points.
With just the exception of Dzeko, our team have all been here since the summer, when Mancini stated that it would take him two months for them to gell. Well, we're still waiting for the kind of consistency that brings steady, regular success.

Even Chelsea never had the level of investment from which we have benefitted over the last few years, It's unknown ! We should be playing to a higher level than we saw against Blackburn and I'll only be happy when we are playing consistently good football.

It doesn't bother me what other Blues see as success; I'll only be satisfied with good football.

Chelsea were in and around the Top 4 at the time of their takeover and yet they had to spend as much as what we have spent so far in order to achieve what they have now. On the other hand , we were a mid table team when taken over which means that it would take some more time and spending to achieve the level that Chelsea experiences . The level of spending and squad we have have transformed us from a mid table to a Top 4 team , with further time and a little bit of investment we will challenge for the title and once this happens and the squad have played with each other for a while only then will you see a successful brand of the football you want , regardless of the manager.

I don't remember seeing Mancini stating it would only take a player two months to gell but I'll take you at your word on that, rgardless, a couple of examples from recent experience, DeJong and Kompany took longer than a season to show their best.

Chelsea are a poor comparison for the level of investment required to win the league as they were already established near the top when RA splashed the cash, as opposed to us being mid table when the sheik bought us.

It's your prerogative to insist on 'good football' (although if I'm not mistaken you were a Hughes fan so we probably disagree on what that means), as far as I'm concerned it's tangible progress first, quality play second.

At the time of our last takeover, we were far more, potentially, than a mid-table team. Sven had had us at or near the top up until Christmas, after which a few players playing politics and then interference from Shinawatra knocked us down the table. We had the basis of a very good team.
Chelsea's comparable spending has taken place over app. three or four times the period of ours and their success came quite quickly. We have still to see when it will happen for us.
With our present manager, we will need much more time and money than would be the case with someone in charge who understood the English game.

Bobby Manc still hasnt had a proper preseason with the players, last summer more than half the squad reported back late, due to the world cup (a particularly tiring world cup held at altitude) and probably our most important player Silva, came back injured (along with Boateng)... this along with the fact it takes some players over a year to settle in the Prem, i think Mancini is doing a fine job...

Nearly all our first team, along with the other top teams, have been going for over 18 months without a break, which might be a contributing factor in this 'wide open' Premier league this season. Its not just physical but mental exaustion that takes its toll... i think Silva and Yaya in particular are going to be demonic next season...

I'm still on the fence: a semi final win won't change my mind, nor will a horrific slip against a "lesser side".

He's done pretty well, there's no doubt of that, and he can attract a high calibre of player.

Should we be doing better though, honestly I couldn't say - that's why I'm on the fence!

How much better? If we get 3rd or 4th and an FA Cup, how much do you want? To me that would be a great season, and a great platform to move forward on

I'm more than happy with the progress this season, I'm actually more concerned about long term progress - the current gameplan has left us struggling against the bigger sides and that is a worry for me if this doesn't change in future.

we over achieved a bit under Sven, especially half 1 - and his was a nearly new team rather than an established one. Give Mancini time - success does not come by changing managers every 18 months
