Mancini Out

Can we not all give the argument a rest for 5/6 weeks whether win win or lose.

Whatever our personal opinions on the matter, squabbling in the meantime and before any concrete results (4th and/or a cup), it is far too early to call the shots. Threads such as these are just antagonistic and serve no purpose other than to argue with fellow blues (and I would say the Mourinho threads are the same).

Does it really matter, though? Me and my mates always talk about what we've seen on our way back from a match / watching in the Pub. It's what most football fans do. This forum would be pointless if we couldn't discuss the Manager, Players, Club, rivals etc.

Other peoples opinions fascinate me.

Spot on fella, this place would be dull without differences of opinion.

Gotta say, Mark Hughes would not have done the Poznan, that's why Mancini is good with me. Weren't his goals for the season to win the FA Cup and get European football?

I feel a bit sorry for Mancini.

When he was in Italy he won 9 trophies in his 8 seasons .. but everyone told him he was just lucky and that but for the scandal hitting Juventus, etc, he would have won nothing. Apparently, all 9 trophies were "lucky".

Then he moved to City, shored-up one of the leakiest defences around, losing very few games thereafter, reached a Cup final in his first full season, and we're in the Champions League spot that he was asked to reach ... despite this everyone (even half his own fans) think he's rubbish. Match of the Day (and many other media outlets / papers / radio stations) have literally not had one single good word to say about him in the entire season.

Meanwhile, everyone tells him he is the most boring and negative manager ever, while Harry Redknapp is an attacking genius ... week after week he is told that ... even though when he looks at the league table, he sees that City have actually out-scored Spurs across the whole season .. and our cup-run has included 2-2, 4-2, 5-0, 3-0, etc ... but no-one wants to know that; Mancini is boring and Harry is exciting, and Spurs "deserve" to finish above City - that's all anyone believes.

I think Mancini must sometimes look at his track record ... and compare it with the way people treat him / are always criticising him ... and wonder what he's doing so wrong ?

Perhaps we City fans should get behind him and make him feel wanted for once.

Just a thought !

This.

In Bobby I trust.

Cracking post that. It's my opinion that his detractors among City fans are mainly buying into what the media says about him, fuck them, they've been hating us ever since the takeover

Under Hughes, we had a team full of expensive, talented, players, which needed a good defensive coach to become a force to be reckoned with.
Since Mancini arrived, a whole new bunch of top players have been added to the squad.
Bearing all of this in mind, should we be surprised that we beat United on neutral ground, by one goal? We all felt the delight and still do, but this does not suddenly turn Mancini into a managerial genius; he's just a man who has the privilege of handling (and often mishandling) an excellent squad, not many of which, I believe, were of his choice, but he was the man responsible for losing the services of several terrific players, who are now playing for other clubs.
My position is still as it was last week.

I still can't work out why he " gave up" the Liverpool game which was part of our main target for the season.
I don't think he did, just bloody blew it
