If Pellegrini is brought in I will get behind him in every way, but I would prefer if Mancini stayed.

Just checked various betting sites and pellegrini is odds on,. Bloody ludicrous to sack Mancini and I think it will set the club back years IMO. Mancini may want to leave of course if there are conflicts over transfer policies.
Timing of this very suspicious.

Well we already have gone backwards, this season we have played like the team that finished 3rd a few years back

If Mancini goes ill be gutted just home from the game and I'm pissed off with our own today. Fans around me chatting shit - Wigan it seems should have just rolled over and let us win. Then the shit on here people spout. No wonder we were out of sorts with the unrest caused by these rumours and some of our own fans fanning the flames. People need to give there heads a wobble. The team the manager and the fans have been screwed today by all the unrest prior to an occasion that should have been exciting yet already we sound as arrogant as utd fans talking about how we are now at another level and rm not good enough for our expectations. Remember where the fuck we've come from ffs

The problem with your scenario is that we've seen these listless performances time and time again, going back to the middle of last season. We weren't beaten by a pack of rumors yesterday, we were beaten by Wigan. Yesterday's was yet another completely underwhelming performance, but why would we be surprised, as this has been going on for a season and a half?

I still doubt Khaldoon and Mansour would give a 5 year contract to Mancini just to fire him for a bad season.

If they do that and get Pellegrini and give them a 5 year contract or anything else than a 1 year contract with the ultimatum with "winning big or you are sacked" they become laughing stock big time.

Lets say Pellegrini comes in but Mourinho's Chelsea wins the title, we wont get out of a very hard CL group and no cup success domestically.

Then fire Pellegrini as well? Really?

All this chaos is so embarassing, giving 5 year contract to Mancini, then dont back him in the transfer season only with second choice shit players, then getting Soriano and Txiki in before they could have a say about Mancini, how want they work together, what is their plans, would they give Mancini a 5 year contract as well, then all this shit ended up with this "back me or sack me" thing which became very clear after the final as Mancini hasd no idea what is going on, "you wrote stupid things if I stay, or I am stupid if Pellegrini comes".

Txiki/Soriano made a stupid out of Mancini if he now has to leave really. Didnt they have time since they started talk to Pellegrini to go to Mancini and tell him he will be out?
Did they have to put him into such an uncomfortable situation?

Mancini has his mistakes, who doesnt, but the way he is handled by our board is a disgrace.

If they go on and fire him then please lets be realistic and give a one year ultimatum to the new manager, dont play games like this time.
It is classless big time.

I cant badmouth the managers for this, Mancini came in just as classless way as Pellegrini will probably, its the board that makes it like this and we dont learn.
Seems like it doesnt matter if it is idiot Cook and Marwood or Txiki-Sopriano. It is the ones who let them to do thing right this. It's Khaldoon and Mansour.

Pellegrini is a very good coach, but it is not right to fire Mancini after one bad season. Especially if you give him a 5 year contract 9 months ago. And then only back him with Sinclair and Garcia...

I've just made the same point in the post match comments. From watching us this seaso I don'y buy that yesterday's performance was solely the result of behind the scenes going on with regard to managers position.

I don't see anything disgraceful about all this. A decision is made as to the manager's future, a replacement is identified and a deal is agreed. Bobby has faced constant speculation, not because of the owner, chairman, board or CEO, but because that is what the media does. Pellegrini and anyone following him will also face this.

I find it rather curious that City fans jump to blame the management that brought us to where we are instead of blaming the media, the real culprit here.

We haven't played consistantly well since Tevez came back.

Last season when Mancini sent Tevez packing the club backed him and the players respected him.

Since then he has had his authority eroded.

1st person i read i agree with about Tevez

I think he is tactically suspect and a disruption to the squad, more than Balotelli.

i am +ve tevez suffers from depression but thats an aside.

but...

thats contracts for you. His contract like Yaya's is water tight overriding the manager.
thats the cost of bringing in big names, not just financial.

I don't buy the theory that the players were unsettled by this week's rumours and somehow let it trash their performance. It doesn't work like that in a cup final.
