Mancini sat with Falcao's agent

I'm surprised City fans spend so much time discussing the possibility of Falcao when striker is a position you have covered in abundance. I'd personally be quite irritated if Chelsea signed another attacking midfielder when we have some pretty obvious weaknesses in other positions. Isn't that the case for you?

You are right, some fans just want ANOTHER world class player, regardless if he is needed or not.

City needs attacking midfielder ( Winger) and NOT another striker.

Mancini simply won't play with pure wingers regularly so it's pointless asking for one. Better to expect a skillful playmaker who CAN play on the wing like the player we missed out on to Chelsea in summer. An attacking playmaker who isn't afraid to run at players and takes them on is probably what Mancini will target since neither Silva or Nasri are particularly good at going around players. Isco wouldn't surprise me but it depends on whether he signs a new contract at Malaga that would raise his buy-out to £30million and put him out of our reach.

Well said, this is the biggest weakness in City's midfield IMO.

When I said wingers, I meant wingers like ( Hazard, Nani, Munian or Ben Arfa) and not winger like ( Downing or Sinclair).

I saw Isco few times, and I am not very convinced yet.

City needs some one smart who can run past players with skill and pace, someone who can create chances by himself.

IMO we need a playmaking. A player like Xavi or Moutinho. Somebody to play beside Yaya.

De Rossi would be outstanding for this but i'm assuming he's going to be impossible to get now. Would also fix the problem of when Yaya goes to ACON, assuming he's going this year?

We should never of sold De Jong because he allowed that freedom for Yaya to push forward, i've not seen anyone really step up to his level yet. Hopefully Garcia will and Rodwell needs time to learn but we seem to of taken a step back in the midfield department and the injury list is killing us there.

Nasri hasn't had any good games and Silva has been injured so we have really lacked in midfield, the central area especially needs addressing.

We need for Falcao not to pitch up at the Chavs. Bad enough that Hazard went there.

We're getting a world class striker sooner or later. If not Falcao maybe Cavani. If not him maybe somebody else. But Drogba needs to be replaced and Torres was never going to cut it. I personally love Lukaku and how he is progressing with WBA, but he's nowhere near ready to lead our line yet - so somebody is coming in the interim.

I agree, we need a skilful, versatile playmaker. We can think of getting a world class striker next summer. What we need urgently is a playmaker versatile enough to play any position (side, false 9, behind a striker, or central mid.), and who can change positions frequently with the likes of Silva, Nasri, Tevez and Yaya in quick one two passing à la Barca style.

Jesus Navas and Angel di Maria come to mind.
