When was Taylor injured, i can't remember?
At the time i think we had all three Goalkeepers fit and Given was in fine form, not to mention the Transfer window was as dull as dishwater.
It's easy in hindsight to criticise but at the time we didn't need one and the press would have lampooned him for wasting money. The guy can't win.

Wasn't it MR HUGHES who sent out our number 2 goalkeeper on loan without putting a return clause in his contract......?

Well if your right I will hold my hands up and say fair play to you, But Im not fan of us sacking managers every 6 months we will be getting absolutely nowhere as a club if this continues to happen, Once and for all as a club we have to stamp down our authority and give a manager time. If Mancini had of brought in a keeper in January Mancini would of got abused sipmly because there was no need for a goalkeeper in january when we already had, Given and Taylor. Plus he brought in a very good player Adam Johnson in January and he will play a big part for us in years to come.
