I don't buy that. Comedy villains know it is an act and make it funny, the word comedy gives it away. This isn't funny anymore, if it ever was. The cabal tries to portray themselves as intelligent people. Intelligent people give credit where it is due. The cabal leave themselves open to ridicule, they bring it on themselves. They seem intelligent, it's hard to imagine them wanting to look silly.
With team selections, some have been perceived as wrong such as in the Champions League fullback choices. I personally think Mancini was prioritising throughout the season. A team was still put out to win, but we could have fielded stronger. This wasn't the target. He had cup choices and was proved right long term. Same with most subs and selections over the season, some had priority. Like Panti in the FA Cup. Did well in the Carling then conceded to Joe when we got close to the silverware. Then we lost to the scum but played excellently in the second half and shit 'em right up!
Shit happens in football. Any mistakes made are far outweighed by the good managerial decisions throughout the course of the season, we wouldn't be champions otherwise. We did a lot more right ourselves than we did wrong. We can't be held responsible for the behaviour of referees, but we still won the league.
I don't mean back him blind, and he is of course open to criticism, however that doesn't mean our club needs rumours about other managers within our own ranks, when we have so much left to potentially win. We all know the media read these pages, and they can create a shitstorm out of fuck all.
After Sheikh Mansour, it's thanks to the manager's guidance we are here, cabal, you leave yourselves open to ridicule if you don't recognise that.
