How has he got on this weekend?
Sadly lost 1-0 home to Keyserspor.

CL hangover?

Thanks
If Drogba hadn't made it so obvious that his loyalty was still with chelsea he could have had a very different week
Any fallout from that? Fans, Mancini not happy with how he played?

Drogba wasn't in the matchday squad and he wasn't injured. Apparently he was late for training or something like that.

Re: Mancini Thread

Galatasaray fans have called for manager Roberto Mancini to be sacked after a home defeat to bottom-of-the-league club Kayserispor.

The result left Galatasaray, who have won the league for the last two seasons, third in the table, five points behind Fenerbahce having played two games more.

Last week they were knocked out of the Champions League by Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

Galatasaray have had a dismal away record this season - they have won only three of their 12 away matches in the league - but they had a near perfect record at home until the weekend.

That was ended in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Pablo Mouche scored to give Kayserispor their first win over Galatasaray for 40 years.

That set off protest from the home fans, who unveiled banners and chanted for Mancini to resign and called for his predecessor, Fatih Terim, to return to the club.

“Looking at the entire 90 minutes, there was a Galatasaray team that deserved victory,” the former Manchester City manager said.

“Our sickness has continued for three matches now. We can't convert the chances that come our way.

"We were not effective in the Champions League [against Chelsea] but today we had made clear chances. Football is an interesting game and these things happen."

Re: Mancini Thread

Not exactly an accurate article.

Gala has several different fan groups. The most radical (and the most hated one) called ultrAslan started a resign chant. They are unhappy that Terim left and had protests before Mancini was even known to have been coming in. They are a very small group in the overall stadium.

Seems the Telegraph (and they aren't even putting an author to the article) messed this one up a bit, but I'm sure everybody who totally has no agenda at all can get some mileage out of this

Re: Mancini Thread

If he wins the league he will be off, if he misses out he will be off. The only difference will be the level of management positions on offer, although the Turkish Super Lig isn't considered one of "the big ones" so how much bearing would be placed on that I don't know.

Galatasaray currently have the best record for losses with just 3, however the have the 2nd worst for draws with 10. They have played 2 games more than Fenerbahce and are 5 points behind- Mancini might have to dig deep like he did with us in the title winning season, to have any chance. If he fixes their away record then they might just end the league as champions.

Re: Mancini Thread

As others have already said, not been a good few days for Bob. A loss to Kayserispor after going out of the CL to Chelsea being a poor result. Poor finishing costing Gala in a game they should really have won, dominating for periods but succumbing to a sucker punch in the 94th minute. Besiktas capitalised by winning their game 3-0 and Fenerbahce also won by the same margin.

I think those results pretty much preclude Gala from the title.

22/03….Galatasaray (2)……………0-1……..Kayserispor (18)
23/03….Besiktas (3)…………………3-0……..Akhisar Belediye (7)
24/03….Gaziantepspor (10)……..0-3……..Fenerbahce (1)

Table:

1)…Fenerbahce…..25…..18…..3…..4…..57…..+29
2)…Besiktas………..26…..14…..8…..4…..50…..+21
3)…Galatasaray…..26…..13…10…..3…..49…..+25

Next matches:

28/03….Karabuskpor (8)………vs……..Besiktas (2)
29/03….Konyaspor (13)………..vs……..Galatasaray (3)
31/03….Fenerbahce (1)…........vs……..Bursaspor (12)

Could Roberto Mancini.....................

Be the new United Manager ?

He is on the verge of the bullet in Turkey, the scum need someone proven in our league and good defensively.

I just have a feeling, that's all ....................... Not claiming to be in the know or anything ,
