How could they easily have won 2-0 unless you class Evra and Berbatovs shots as chances? They created very little, just like us. That sometimes happens when two teams who are difficult to break down play each other especially early in the season when a draw isn't the end of the world

The way nitid were passing in the final third we needed to set up like that - you can argue that if we were more attacking we might have got a goal or two - but we would have left ourselves open and the result would have been a lottery - Given the recent hysteria about us being in meltdown, Mancini did exactly the right thing last night.
Go and watch basketball if you want end to end excitement - last night was an intriguing tactical battle with two sides with a lot at stake - Thought it was an interesting spectacle with some great match ups.
Instead of our heroic Alamo epics of the past we matched tham as a professional tactical outfit last night. Get used to it.

We still have fans that define the season on what we do in the 2 derby games. Me - disappointed with the result last night BUT the big picture says we are 4 point clear of 5 place AND still in touching distance of the top of the league. What do I want 2 wins over United or minimum 4th place??

Fool - If we had gone for it and lost how would you feel, what if Silva tried a cross field pass to AJ in the last minute but it was cut out and they go on and score.... last year being an example of that. Mancini knew we couldn't afford a defeat, yes it was hard to watch and yes I wish we would have won. But in the cold light of day at the end of the season this could be a good result.

Against last season it is a point gained and them 2 points lost, steady progress.
