I have noticed that, in the main, "outers" have a poorly developed sense of irony.

If someone who complained about the thread explained it to you they would by definition be contributing to the thread that they objected to thereby extending its life which would be contrary to their objective which is to let the thread die so no it is not possible to explain it to you as it would be self defeating.

Given you already accept the premise that posting anything in a thread you object to is contrary to that posters objective one has to ask why you asked the question in the first instance given that as you cannot expect an answer why pose such a redundant question?

Couldn't you have just answered my question instead of asking a further redundant question of your own?

I do not object to the thread therefore no I cannot answer the question you initially posed.

All threads die a natural death when the members of the Forum stop posting in them. People that don't like particular threads or consider them silly have the option of not reading them. I honestly can't get my head round people who continually whinge about this thread but have continually posted in it, and obviously followed it closely. Can someone please explain?

It really is a pity that so much of this thread is about the thread itself or the posters when it can actually be a place for an interesting exchange of views on the single most important matter facing the club this summer, IMO.

No but there clearly are people reading the thread despite objecting to it because they bloody well post in it to say so.

Its emotive but only to a point and that point was long past where sane men disembarked shaking their heads. We have entered the Twilight zone where there is a debate on how loudly the Mancini song was sung after a good win and it was only a good win because the opposition was shite and when we draw it was because we were shite and when we lose its because Mancini has lost the dressing room (again)...whatever happened to losing a match because sometimes you just well...lose a match? But I digress...

It's a side-effect of falling short of expectations.

When the club is booted from virtually all competitions so early, it leaves little to talk about. We'd barely played before we were out of the league cup and Europe. In the league we were realistically out by January, though our performance throughout the whole season suggested we were never really in it. We have one competition left.

So people float off to transfers, to the stadium and youth, and yeah even to discussing the Mancini song. There really is little left to talk about, and it's been that way since about December. It's hard to cope with how we've given up the league so easily, anger is natural.

So yeah, I expect this thread or some other asking the same question (should Mancini get sacked?) until the end of the season, until he is sacked.
